Who's the backup QB now ?

Our Lads has a depth chart but I wouldn't put too much stock in its accuracy because it still has a couple of guys as third teamers who aren't even on the Team now...

Mendoza played in the 3rd slot at the end of the W ILL game but I don't recall having seen Cherry take any live snaps out there yet (could be wrong, I might have just not realized he was out there)...

Maybe we'll get the answer against Washington if we're up big early in the 4th...

I talked briefly to Tayven at a basketball game last year. I thanked him for staying with the team and I told him that no matter what, he would play an important and integral part in our season. I'm not Nostradamus, just an old man that has seen many years of football. Every team needs a competent QB back-up. Tayven will do us proud, no matter how many games he has to fill in. Go Hoosiers!

Very few teams have an elite QB. Even fewer have a back up that can play effectively. I think our back up has several points that make him different.
1. He started 5 games last year and played in others.
2. He has been here for all of spring practice, summer conditioning, fall practice and now 7 games worth of current film study.
3. He has a full half under his belt from last week. Should help calm some nerves and create confidence
Having said all of that, I think the fans could help. Sell out, be loud, and. Maybe even some Tayven signs.
