Who do we need to root for tonight and tomorrow?

Sagarin is an IU grad. MBA in business from IU. Did his undergrad at MIT. He was doing these ratings in the days when computers were in their infancy, 1985. He won’t divulge his methods but they are based off of elo prediction models used in chess.
He still lives on Bloomington, I hear he drinks at Kilroys ... I use to use his rankings for my gambling days ... to long to explain the process but it worked. Interesting methods he used. I still like his information and have his site bookmarked. Glad to see you remember the old ratings before computers. A few of us still around I guess.

Seems like the combo of Tennessee's defense, and Neyland Stadium, might be pretty difficult.

I could see Penn State doing a white out night for a home playoff game, and their front 7 is actually pretty nasty...I don't think IU would handle that well.

Notre Dame is a good team, but I don't think ND Stadium, or their team, could bother Indiana like a lot of the other situations could.

Agree on Ohio State, its the least interesting game to me, and we've seen how we struggled with their front 7.

I still think Georgia or ND is our best chance to win that first round game. Though, I do think we could beat anyone, anywhere, if we play up to our capabilities.
Have you ever been to a game at Notre Dame Stadium? My great uncle had a box there and even in the awful days of the '60s, ND stadium was a mad house. It hasn't changed.

Watching this game, Ewers looks awful. Why all the fade routes in the endzone? And not even close.
Georgia looks better than Texas right now. Get ready for some movement if they win. ND may be the IU matchup.

The only possible outcome would be:

a) Clemson winning
b) the committee keeping SMU
c) the committee jumps Alabama over IU despite the chair saying they wouldn't move teams who were idle this week

If Clemson loses there is no other possible outcome where we aren't in the field.
Exactly. And I think the chance of this happening is a lot higher than many appear to think.

I hope they think one loss IU is better than 2 loss SMU because no way will they take IU over Alabama. No way. I would guess that SMU would be out in a close comparison with IU, but it is very close.

We need SMU to come back and win.

We are in.
We are locked in at #10.

Everyone is coming up with disaster scenarios that won’t knock IU out. Not happening.

Yeah I’ve been to a couple Purdue games there. I was actually surprised that the atmosphere wasn’t as loud or intimidating as I thought it would be.
