I expect some upsets this weekend. The commissioner said those teams not playing this weekend, like IU for example, would not move in their rankings. There could be movement those from the other games. IMO ONLY the winner of the UNLV and Boise St game will go to the CFP. I don't think the B1G gets two teams no matter who wins their game. It is hard to see not including Clemson IF they win but keeping them and SMU would have to knock someone out of the CFP wouldn't it? I look for Texas to beat Georgia ... would they drop out of the Top 12 with 3 losses? If Penn State beats Oregon which I think they will, how far will Oregon drop with just 1 loss?

I think last weeks brackets are not close to what will be announced Sunday at Noon ET. Is there any team outside those Tuesday 12 seeds make it back into the playoffs IF they are not playing this weekend due to too many upsets?

It will be fun to see the final results.

Boise/UNLV is, for sure, a play in game. Loser has no chance.

B12 will only get one team in, without question.

Clemson is in automatically if they win. If they do, SMU will be on the bubble. If SMU wins, Clemson will not get in.

Georgia will get in no matter what, and will probably still host a first round game if they lose.

Oregon would probably only drop a spot or two if they lost to 3rd ranked Penn State. So they'd likely end up as the 5 seed in the bracket.

The betting lines on all 5 of the relevant championship games are relatively close, so I would expect some of the favorites to lose, for sure.
IU appears to be locked in to 8-10 ranking, 9-11 bracket seed...basically no matter what happens. The devil will be in the details of who we play, and what the path looks like after that first game.

Well not including Clemson if they win is t a possibility. Yet the debate of SMU vs Bama is going to set a precedent for years to come if it happens.

In general, a loss to Clemson in the conf title game shouldn't push SMU back behind Bama. But I'll believe Bama being left out in that situation when I see it. Bama has to be cheering hard for SMU tomorrow, but I suspect they don't need them to win.

100%… SMU being penalized for their championship game over a 3 loss Bama team sets a dangerous precedent, but I think those involved in college football are just the right level of stupid to muck it up.

I believe he said teams not playing this weekend will not be re-evaluated. Does not necessarily mean they will not move.

If the committee is hell bent on putting Alabama in the field, let's just pray it's at the expense of SMU and not us. Last thing in the world we need is Clemson beating SMU in a nail biter and the committee not wanting to snub a runner-up.

We just need to hope SMU wins or gets blown out.

Why would GA host a first round game if they lose?
