Who are we going after??

Ughhh...I keep checking this board hoping for some good news. I'm not the most informed WBB fan, but man I am still underwhelmed by what the team looks like for next year. Love coach Moren, but the recruiting just doesn't add up to the level of success she has had. I'm always scratching my head why we aren't getting better talent. Most teams have ups and downs but I am a little concerned we are on a slippery slope for the foreseeable future. Hope I'm very wrong.

It's fair to be concerned. But I think you also have to recognize that not a lot of the super high end talent is going to buy in to Teri's philosophies. Maybe she needs to change a little, but I'm supportive of her staying true to her ways at this point. And she has made a move in the coaching staff to try to improve recruiting, it appears.

She knows what she's doing.

A person on Facebook's IU Women's basketball fan's page said we are in the top 3 for this player:

She visits Iowa on the 12th, IU on the 13th. I don't know when her Oklahoma visit is. These are 3 teams in the same weight division (darn good but not elite), so she must be good. We aren't competing with lightweights. It appears Iowa wants her as a forward, which at 6 foot even is a bit undersized.

6’ does seem short for a F. Maybe a 3 position/SF?
Rebounding is also about positioning, but I agree shorter arms is more difficult.

If our guards are good maybe we do not need another G
1. Shay can be SG
2. Beau as a second shooting guard in a three G offense
3. We need a PG. Is that Spreen, Stotijn, or the senior Jedi Kiaku? Less likely I think is our new freshman Coffey.
4. High hopes for Kadlecova, we will have to wait and see what her contribution is.

Regarding bigs I am a little confused
1. Big Z I hope is a huge get. Playing every day against Laura Betts has to have made her improve year 1 to year 2.
2. Don’t know about Noyan. Again hopefully a big surprise and contributor.
3. I saw an article on one of the IU sites and it did not list Syd Fenn or Faith as returning. Was that a writer error or are they gone?
