When will a Southern or Western team come calling . .

It is inevitable that they will come calling

Will he leave? That's obviously the million dollar question being a midwestern guy but the lack of respect for midwest baseball obviously wears on him.

Imagine it would be tough to turn down the type of money Garido makes at Texas. $1.1-$1.2 million and he's 75 years of age. The baseball powers can quadruple his IU salary. For perspective, Kevin Wilson currently makes $1.2 million at IU.

Manieri at LSU is guaranteed $900k with bonus ops to $1.2 million. Martin at FSU is making $1.1 million. Huge money for a college baseball coach.

I bet this may make him consider leaving. He's losing

An absolute ton this year. Redshirted a few guys
Has a descent class coming but I don't know how its considered
Compared to the rest of the big 10 / nationally.

Its a lot easier to recruit at a southern / western
School. He's done a solid job making IU baseball
Relevant. Will he stay to rebuild it if IU takes steps
Back trying to reload.

You win the big 10 and make the tournament
With a high seed. The loss hurts. Hope he can
Leverage the success of the year and get more
Talented players.

I Hope he stays. He knows He's got to get more / better talent. I bet he adds
Some JC guys like he did with hartong / rodrigue
To fill gaps. He's gonna about have to if he intends
To stay. Next year is gonna be interesting.
Gonna be a lot of freshman playing next year.

I think he's turned some pretty lucrative offers in the past. I think he's pretty happy here. Out maybe he just wanted to stay until his son graduated, who knows

He turned down some big offers when we were still playing at JV field.

He loves Bloomington.

What big offers? My post isn't talking about the likes of Ohio State but the truly major baseball powers. I am talking about $1 million per year type offers.

LSU averaged 9k per home game, that type of baseball power.

I am sure he does love Bloomington, I did too but still left for bigger markets.
