Thought I heard somewhere that f bombs earn you a blackmark that can earn you a YT ban. I'm guessing that's why he wasn't thrilled with it.He gave it a “woah”. My man would not do well in an urban setting lol.

Well he does have memes posted from national accounts of kicking people in the nuts with clown music in the background that got millions of views on social media. I call that a laughing stock, not sure how you could not…..Leal has nothing to do with making IU a a laughing stock.
I also remember Galloway’s “three” attempt that caught nothing but net…beneath the rim, not through. Maddening at this point in his career.
Because I'm not scouring social media looking for any shred that casts shade at Leal. I wish we were better and he didn't, but he helped make us competitive at the end of the year. I put that more on the coach and the other players. If everyone came in and played hard and smart, he'd not see the floor more than backup minutes or a few minutes a game. But, we have a bunch of guys who don't know what it means to commit effort on both ends of the floor throughout the game, which is why a flawed, average athlete like Leal really improved our level of play.Well he does have memes posted from national accounts of kicking people in the nuts with clown music in the background that got millions of views on social media. Don’t have to scour very far. He’s as dumb as some of our fans. How he could say we are one of the best teams in the country is just pure insanity.Because I'm not scouring social media looking for any shred that casts shade at Leal. He has been around woodson too long he is stating to sound just as delusional as woodson They are 4-12 vs quad 1 teams.Don’t have to scour very far. He’s as dumb as some of our fans. How he could say we are one of the best teams in the country is just pure insanity.

For sure. I think the system matters but it doesn't matter that much. What I mean is I would rather have an average system taught exceptionally well rather than an exceptional system taught in an average way.More time spent creating a team and less just throwing money at guys. Have a vision and system and recruit to it.
Man... you're something. What, in THE HELL, would you expect him to say? "Nah man, we're average, we'll be lucky to get in." He even quantified the "we're one of the best teams in the country" part with "we're one of the top 64 teams"...Don’t have to scour very far. He’s as dumb as some of our fans. I should have made the FTs to put us in a better position to win, hope the committee gives us an opportunity to play another game. You know, like a leader.Man... you're something. Was he asked about the free throws? What was the original question? Sounded like it was what he thought about their NCAA tournament chances? Talking about free throws would be odd. No?I should have made the FTs to put us in a better decision to win, hope the committee gives us an opportunity to play another game. You know, like a leader.
Not odd at all, if they win the game they are for sure in. He missed the FTs that led to them not getting back in the game. Was he asked about the free throws? What was the original question? I do kind of like Cav's response on that one. Maybe even better "We should have worked harder all season so there wasn't a question about making the tournament. We hope the committee gives us a chance...." don't even make it about the last game or a couple of free throws. It's like when people blame bad officiating for a loss. You've got to play well enough that a few bad calls (which are inevitable) are not the difference maker. Play well enough that one win or loss is not a difference maker. I don't care that he missed two free throws; it happens. But for him it happens more than it should, and for the team they didn't play well in enough games to remove any questions of whether they are good enough to make the cut.Was he asked about the free throws? What was the original question? Sounded like it was what he thought about their NCAA tournament chances? Talking about free throws would be odd. No?
he also should be smart enough to know the tourney isn't the top 64 teams due to the auto-bids from the smaller conferences and tourney upsets. Past data shows once your net drops to 50 and lower, if you aren't an auto-bid, you've got some worrying to do.Don’t have to scour very far. He’s as dumb as some of our fans. Yeah, a “pass” with no one within 10 feet of receiving it. It was a “not warmed up, yet” shot.that was a pass.
What would you say to Hoosier supporters...ahead of selection Sunday? And you think he should have dove in to personal mistakes, and how they should have been better? Not odd at all, if they win the game they are for sure in. He missed the FTs that led to them not getting back in the game.
Thanks, Lucy....I got us into the weeds in order to keep us out of the weeds. He was gay like the rest of the group.
I don't know if he was gay but with all due respect, man, if you kicked that guy in the ass a hundred cocks would fall out.He was gay like the rest of the group.
I’m not talking about Tamar. I’m talking Indiana players.Tamar disnt miss any critical ones (or miss them ever frankly), I was told he shouldn’t play.
Yeah, a “pass” with no one within 10 feet of receiving it. It was a “not warmed up, yet” shot.
Many fans have made the same mistakes for so long it has become the new IU basketball tradition. Now guards that can’t shoot a lick and banal coaches without any controversies are the tradition.see everyone. This is the stupid shit I’m talking about. Complete nonsense. Anyone who thinks like this is a loser and has no business cheering for IU. We will never get to a Final 4 again if players like this are playing here. They don’t contribute to championship caliber teams.
Our fanbase is dumb as dirt.
Honestly, I feel like they've been coached on what to say. Laughable that he mentions wanting fans to show up, and didn't toss in "real fans". I guess now just any old fan is OK if they're wearing red. Think it's a last ditch effort by the staff to try and influence the selection committee.Don’t have to scour very far. He’s as dumb as some of our fans. How he could say we are one of the best teams in the country is just pure insanity.
Again you've proven your value to this forum. Don't listen to haters! He was gay like the rest of the group.
Mbacko is a catch and shoot guy. Nothing more. Too stiff, not athletic, and doesn’t play hard defensively. My thoughts are that Mbako could really elevate this team if he was stronger. His defense is better, but he still gets bullied in the paint and can’t rebound well. On offense, he has skills but gets bumped off his spots and can’t score in the paint. So he is very 1 dimensional. I’d like to see him come back with 12 to 15 more lbs.
And other than gallo, all of the wings and guards got bullied.
This is true, but it’s also true with him on the floor you’re basically playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end.they won't but that won't stop your narrative. Don't stop, here's what you meant to say: "Many on here will want the next coach to retain Gabe because he's white" Right?
You're just wrong about Leal. We've always known he was flawed and his FT shooting is inexplicable, but it's can't be argued that we played better and won more when Leal started playing more. I agree we would have been better playing Rice, Galloway and Carlyle more, if we had a different coach that was able to get more out of them and the team as a whole. But bringing in Leal got the team more connected and playing better D and rebounding better; just overall effort. For where we were in the season, Leal made us better.

His 3 pt shot wasn’t good in high school and unfortunately hasn’t improved here so a suspect catch and shoot guy thus far. He hit 32.7% from 3 last year and 32.9% this year. I had hoped his 3 pt shooting would improve over the summer but didn’t happen.Mbacko is a catch and shoot guy. Nothing more. Too stiff, not athletic, and doesn’t play hard defensively.
Think what his 3 point % would have been if he didn’t make a few circus shots at the buzzer. I’d argue that’s his best shot. His 3 pt shot wasn’t good in high school and unfortunately hasn’t improved here so a suspect catch and shoot guy thus far.
