For most of my adult life, I have paid for cable in some capacity just so I can watch IU basketball. It used to be about the only thing to get you through winter and life revolved around it. For the last 2 of Crean, it was an unwatchable product to me, so had no problem just living with Netflix. I had hope under Archie, I figured at some point I'd break down and cable up so I could get good and lit watching this team kick some ass from my living room. That never happened, and it's not going to happen next year either. As much as watching IU ball means to me, it simply not worth paying for the convenience to do it at home until it returns to being something resembling IU BBall.

I think many of us feel the same way. I NEVER missed an IU game for years. Now, if it fits in my schedule I'll watch. If not, oh well.

Yep I've maybe seen half this year. If i ever did miss one 10 or 15 years ago i would tape it at least. I've almost come to expect losses like yesterday. Sad

What it feels like to me is that we are not rebuilding. Most good or even great programs have down years, but there is no hope here for the near future. What we have coming are good role players, not stars. It's just maintaining mediocrity and it is likely to get worse as we get younger again.

I just saw Leal is shooting 34% from three in hs Thatss not going to do much for our shooting.

Yeah, I know. Of the 3 coming, Galloway looks most impressive to me on eye test, but that's against lesser competition. I feel like anyone thinking help is on the way is deluding themselves … like Mike Jiminez level talent returns us to greatness

These guys may help in a few years but they are probably at a Franklin ceiling at best next year. If TJD doesn't come back next year could be a disaster.

Yeah, quality role players, but without TJD to build around it WILL be a disaster

My wife and I decided to get season tickets last year (we live in Bloomington) for the first time because we were excited about the future. That lasted one season and we’re glad we didn’t renew.

This is the equivalent of shooting 50% for 2 pointers. At this point wouldn’t be will to take that?

Yeah Miller's team is barely watchable. Losing by 30 is never fun, but the bs cupcake schedule coupled with half the kids putting forth less energy than zombies makes for lousy viewing. How anyone can defend miller is lost on many of us. I bet fife would take the gig and do just as well as miller for half the cost.

all of that basketball bs aside, i envy your living in bloomington. that would be a nice, easy life. it's a special place....

At this point, I'd give Fife a shot for half of what we pay Archie … mitigate the buyout, how could it be worse ROI and results

I catch a lot of flack on here , but I’m the same. Just cancelled my Hulu. I still have letters and pictures from RMK from the late 70s and 80s ,and never missed a game. It’s just not enjoyable anymore. I enjoyed Crean’s first year team more bc they played their rear ends off and had heart. And the continued excuses and hoping for next year just doesn’t pass the common sense test. It’s just not a good product anymore and is hard to watch.

Cool story, bro.

Totally agree. Zero reason to pay what we have paid Archie and crean what we did for the results we get. Pay somebody half of it and I doubt the results will be any worse.

Galloway brings toughness. Something that is severely lacking.

I'm sure they wouldn't be, plus there would be incentive to overachieve and ask for a raise in a couple years
