What in the hell happened with X

Pretty solid forearm shiver. Should have been called
Yes, the retaliation move should have been called. But on the last replay, Peacock DID show that X - once again - grabbed a guy's... peacock. He deserved to be tossed, and that he was smiling about it was adding insult to injury. His play throughout the game was bad enough, but that was just pathetic.

Many years of my life has been spent watching this thug "play" basketball. Never thought he would live up to all the hype that many on here would spew. What he shows as his accomplishments over that time with IU are breaking curfew which resulted with a run in with police, that bad choice leading other platers to join in the fun, ( example of his team leadership on full display), total out of control play on the court, a lack of any discipline, an attitude of I can do nothing wrong, whatever that thing was he did tonight and heaven only knows what else we dont see behind the scenes. I do feel sorry for him regarding the injuries he has suffered, but he should have been gone after the Northwestern debacle. This wound has festered long enough. Its time woodrow laid down the law. X the X. The longer our "coach" puts up with this crap the worse hes gonna look, as if he needs anymore help looking like a overwhelmed fool.

I've gotta say - it's totally a stand up move that IU fans are protecting the integrity of the game by shaming this behavior. Regardless of the score - that's a win in my book. Unlike Michigan and Kansas who put up with what they put up with. You can recover from a loss. You can't recover a loss of integrity.

He holds one of the all-time records in B-town, though…..
The Walnut Ave speed record.

Hell, Durr may still be inside the trunk?

Screen shot of the ball grab...

Love all the puns on this. Ball handler, got the shaft, etc. Lol

BTW, Wolf did get a foul on the play. I suspect if there had been no "underhanded" play by Xavier "i just love to grab a guy's" Johnson, the refs may have elevated the foul to a flagrant from a common. But after seeing the replay they probably decided to ignore the severity since Johndon wasn't injured and Johndon's foul was intentional and malicious.

Probably will end up like Devin Dumes or Armon Bassett legal troubles after he moves on. I hope not.

2nd half stats at under 8 timeout.

- 21 offensive possessions
- 4 for 16 field goals
- 5 turnovers
- 3 for 8 free throws
Woof!

If you're using box score then Estimated Possessions = FGA + TO + (FTA*0.44) - Off Reb. Did you minus the offense rebounds and account for FTA?

The first time he did it I wondered if it could warrant a suspension. The second time??? From the pic it seems obvious, intentional. Only someone with a screw loose would do that even once.

People say good x and bad x. The bad has nothing to do with basketball.
I think there are some guys who see this as being competitive. Wrestlers have done it for years. But, you see it too often to think it's not intentional with some guys.

I don't know what Coach will do, but at minimum I'd strip him of being a Captain and suspend him for a game or 2, minimum. My thing is, just in the things we know about I think there's enough to dismiss him. But, what about the crap we don't know about? Minimum, I don't think we should see X for the next game or 2, but I also wouldn't argue if he never plays for IU again.

Well, you can be competitive without being dirty. It smacks of desperation.

When I asked about a suspension I was referring to the B10.

I think on Assembly Call they were wondering if he did it to get kicked out intentionally since he was having a shit game.

I wrestled competitively for 9 years. 4 years in high school and 5 years in college, including the year I was ineligible because I transferred schools. I never saw or even heard of any wrestler doing what Xavier Johnson did - on television, wearing an Indiana Jersey and representing the team as a co-captain.

If the other player had punched him in the face I would have been okay with no foul being called. Xavier Johnson should be suspended and he should no longer be a captain. Actually, he never should have been a captain.

Last night I listened to Joe Hill and Brian Evans talking about how Xavier Johnson should be kicked off the team, that the Hoosiers can't shoot, that they are incredibly soft, have absolutely no leadership or discipline. That went for both the players and coach.

I knew wrestlers on our HS team (Southport) who said they knew specifically of a couple guys who would grab your nuts routinely. Think they wore a cup when they wrestled them (it was a specific HS, and if you know Southport, you might be able to guess which one).

I listened to Coyle's post game too, as I like hearing Leary's review. I was surprised at how critical Evans was of CMW. But yes, they both were very critical of X. I didn't listen too long... Coyle's hard for me to listen to.

PS, I thought the same thing about the other guy: Woolfolk? I think you get grabbed in the jewels intentionally, some level of retaliation is expected and OK. Maybe not a punch, but I had no problem with a foul not being called on him.

I’m not defending X but this league has let RU, NW, Wisconsin etc..to play “rough” and at times dirty. If they are going to clean it up then freaking clean it up. The refs should’ve thrown both out. Zero tolerance. I mean how many videos and instances do they need.

So that pic on Twitter for sure shows X cupping the dude. I still don't know what actually happened.

I don't think anything was out of the ordinary until his hand was between his legs. once under there???? WTF would he do that, I dunno. Bicurious? He didn't bag him tho, which IMO would have been the dirtiest thing you can do. Like why not just lift up and bag him if you are gonna do something dirty? Super weird.
