Obviously by now, the NCAA does not have a clue how to handle NIL money. The gate is open and the horses are long gone, never to be retrieved. The rich teams will get richer by doing what they have been doing for decades and the lower tier teams had better starting thinking of forming a new league to play in. The top teams in NIL pools and performance will be in the "Semi Pro" league while other teams will be in the "Club" league.I expect there would be cheating at some programs. I don't know if there is any accounting so the NCAA would be able to penalize those schools exceeding the limit. I was just trying to think of some way the less profitable programs would have a chance. If a team does develop a sleeper player into a star he will probably leave for more money.
For a long time I thought the NCAA was heading to 4 divisions with 64 teams but with NIL money and Transfer Portal that is not an option. It will be Semi Pro and Club ... maybe the requirement for the Club League would be NIL's not allowed.
