The BIG front office is taking its cue from the NCAA. Michigan and O$U fined a “whopping “ $100000 for their post game brawl. Some of the players could afford to pay the fines. Conferences fine schools more for students rushing the field after upsets.

Just be happy they didn't make us and m$u pay it for them...

You didn't really expect the BIG front office to make any type of serious statement against their two bell cows did you...? I'm surprised they didn't just get off with a strongly worded reprimand...

Tough to do much to the two largest revenue drivers for the conference.

In the end they just had some fisticuffs at midfield. It's not great, but it's hardly the end of the world.

Saw similar happenings midfield in other games. At least Sarkisian made Tex get off AM's logo.

All these "young men" need to watch the end of the Army/Navy game and learn something.

Personally, I think the NCAA needs to make it a very stiff penalty if anyone opponent tries to plant a flag at mid-field. I don't know what that penalty would be (7 figure fine and/or suspension of some schollies) but it should be severe enough that staffs do everything in their power to try and stop it from happening. Celebrate all you want, but trying to plant a flag at mid-field of your oponent's stadium is always going to lead to fights.

Especially since it is a dominance move that insults the other team.

I don't understand the outrage over the fine amount. A field storming puts a lot more people in danger than a scuffle between two teams and their staffs.

Can you point to what other conferences have fined schools for their post-game activities from this weekend?

Or are you just looking for reason to claim the conference office plays favorites?

Not looking for a reason to claim they play favorites. I believe everyone knows or believes it anyway. Which one of the other conference games ended up in fights where police came in and used pepper spray on the players or where you saw players attacking coaches? Field storming is a problem but I don’t really recall any that developed into fights of that magnitude. I’m sure there might have been one. Plus you have hundreds/thousands of students rushing the field compared to where you have a coaching staff that had one just looking on and another celebrating with his fans while their players were fighting. Head coaches.
