I know I'm on the wrong board. Admonishing me will do no good. I neither post nor read over there.

I'm watching Atlanta United against FC Cinncinati. The GK for FC Cincinnati is Roman Celentano!

I do not understand the first post nor the second post.
Celentano was IU's goalkeeper recently. He's playing for Cincinnati FC . . .

. . . A-T-L is a reference to Atlanta United, the MLS entry from Atlanta.

What's interesting to me (being from IU and the ATL) is that Atlanta United and Cincinnati FC tied 2-2 on Andrew Gutman's goal in the 83rd minute. Gutman plays right back (a primarily defensive position) for AU, and played right back for IU too. That's two big goals for Gutman in the last 2 games. He got the game winner for AU in Seattle about 10 days ago. Gutman's showing the versatility he showed at IU . . . .

I had season tix for AU for the first 3 years. Mercedes is an incredible environment for MLS soccer. Glad to see the sport continuing to thrive in the US. It’s actually not my favorite sport to watch but it was great family time and my son was a huge fan

Where in the ATL are you? We're in west Cobb . . . just outside the May-retta city limits.

I'm all the way up in Hart County on the SC border... that's why we gave up the season tix... when the kids moved on my wife and I decided we weren't going to make the trip very often.

Likely will go to Clemson for the IU match on the 26th.

Somethin' to do, ya know?
I’ll be there too. I have a Clemson grad who lives in Columbia, SC and my son is in his 3rd year there. Their parents (both of us IU grads) are going to be there in the candy stripes. I think Clemson is unveiling the Natty banner that night also. We went up to Raleigh in the spring and watched them beat UW for the title…. After IUS lost a heartbreaker to UW in the elite 8

Thanks. I would like an IUWBB forum, maybe we should have a soccer forum as well.
Forums as easy to access as men’s bball and football.

Yeah . . . my impression is that was his point all along . . . in the vein of "geez guys, take it to the soccer board . . . ." But I played it straight just in case he wasn't saying that . . . and then the "IUWBB" post clinched it for me.

He was trolling all along . . . despite the thread-starter saying he doesn't go to the soccer board.

At IU, Gutman was a very offensive defender. He was the team leader in goals his senior year for that IU team that should have won the 9th star. Most of his goals were headers off set pieces, but he could score just about any manner. Glad he's having a nice pro career.

And speaking of FC Cincy, Their head coach is Pat Noonan, one of the all-time great Hoosiers.
