Getting them on campus has not been an issue. Getting them to commit has been been a challenge the past two classes. BT was a pleasant last minute add after the others, who they recruited heavily for years, went elsewhere. The hope is they have a backup plan but my guess is the portal is the backup plan. To their credit they've done well with the portal so far, but it's risky.
Victor was inducted to the IU Hall of Fame yesterday . At the dinner last night were Cody, Christian, Verdejo, and Jordy of course. Already on campus was JHS. Pretty impressive group to be meeting with our visitors. Hope it helps!

Verdel was an average player at best.
He was decent — averaged double digit points.
He did come here when we were at rock, rock bottom. He endured a lot of ass kickings until the program turned around. He deserves a lot of respect for that.

Verdell may have been "average", but he played his ass off. The team obviously didn't have great talent but they played their hearts out.
Agree. Verdell at times was the only guy that could score. Not his fault he had a crappy supporting cast.
For what it's worth, Trilly now has Sisley going to IU. Let's hope.

It's really nice to see guys like JHS coming back to IU this weekend to help recruit these high school kids.
Surprised at the abrupt turn and that Sisley sounds like the first piece to fall. I really expected it to be Haralson with the hope his commitment might help attract the others, as I think Moreno's commitment did for UK. From reports, I thought Sisley was pretty much a done deal to PU. Glad I was wrong. Sounds like it was a good visit, even though I haven't seen any reports back. Anything out there from our X followers?
The visits went better than well. Reibe visit might just make him a Hoosier. Mullins visit supposedly knocked out of the park. That’s about it.
what was the story of Pope visiting w Mullins before his IU visit Friday? BS, or did he go see him at home/school? I would normally think any visit is a good one, but that sort of wreaks of desparation to me.
Painter pivoting to some other wing/4 type players late this summer was probably a good indication this was still an open recruitment. I like the idea of Sisley, but he can’t be the headliner.
