They’re DL/Edge, so probably not as much impact to a QB as a WR or RB. They are kids in GA and it sounds like the state school and some others started calling.

Both being from Georgia may be a big deal with JuJu.
I'd love to get Lewis but if we don't, I like what we got. Rourke, Jackson, Cherry, Mendoza. Let's see how it shakes out.

Look at all the high profile kids that have very good careers going at one school, just up and leave for another program. It’s going on everywhere. If you get a QB for 3 seasons, you’re in the minority in today’s world.
It feels like young people, now more than ever, move on quickly and change scenery more frequently than any previous generation. And that applies to both sports and the working world.

After this year, Rourke will graduate, whoever wins the job between Cherry and Jackson the other one will leave and Mendoza not wanting to sit two years in a row will probably leave. Sign of the times. Just a prediction.
The backup QB position will soon be a very coveted one with NIL leading the way! A backup stands to make big money while donning a headset listening to coach banter!
In the portal era, being able to make a QB productive after a transfer will be a very valuable capability. Given James Madison's ability to get strong performance out of 3 QBs in 3 years, Tino has demonstrated this ability. We should be well positioned for however things play out, especially if we need a transfer QB.
Coach can decide who plays, Jackson is ready to be the starter is and then Cherry will be coached to be ready as back up when needed if Jackson gets hurt.
