Won't play over the 5* One and Dones that Cal has already recruited. If he plays over Brooks, Brooks daddy will be po'd.
That's what sucks. Not saying that he would have started for us, but he would have gotten lots of time, at a minimum.
That makes 4 new forwards coming in to UK next year, including Brooks. KB gonna sit more than he thought...

The other 2 recruits are 3/4s,and the Bucknell kid is a 4. Why would Brooks' playing time not be affected? Also, what forwards are returning from this years team?

Unless he plays the 5 (or Brooks does), there are only 80 min a game to go to the 3 and 4. I don't see where you figure it wouldn't affect Brook's and the other recruits PT. Can you explain? I know Cal preaches positionless basketball, but playing an undersized 5 leads to teams with a true 5 scoring some easy points (see IU since around the time Zeller left). Cal doesn't hesitate to distribute playing time to who he feels are his best players and let the others decide to leave regardless of recruiting rankings/promises. 2 of those 4 players (not counting returning ones) are not going to be happy (unless you are talking playing the transfer at the 5. Then, I guess most of this point it moot.
He will be a good player no doubt. I don’t know if he’s guaranteed starting material yet. It would be at the four. I think a lot depends on who stays. Ej and nick should both be back. Brooks will get his at the 3/4 position. One thing cal has illustrated is you don’t have to play 40 mins a game and dominate to be a top pick. I expect brooks to play 20-30 mins a game. Starting doesn’t matter, as cal will make sure everyone eats
Okay, he will be affected but Brooks will be a two year player for the cats.
I'm quite sure he was told this and he accepted. It's very difficult to get in
the NBA and I'm hoping he gets there.
