I love that. There was a guy who hung around the indoor complexes when i was a kid like that. He always wore the number 737. Couldn't move much but would post up at the top of the box or along the boards in the final third. Had skills and touch on the ball that you wouldn't have imagined in a million years for a guy that heavy

College athletics has now become just another professional league.
Yeah, I'm getting close to Marv's position on this. As much as I love IU athletics, this shit is dumb and has nothing to do with academics. Which is, you know, what a college/university should be focused on.
Also, the expansion of athletics on college campuses aligns with the explosion in tuition costs. Coincidence? Probably. But who knows.
I love college football Saturday's. I've already lost all interest in college basketball. Haven't paid attention in years. I'd hate to lose college football too.

I think it's ESPN+ which shows the majority of the games. Good coverage. That and the FA Cup. I've mentioned this before, I love watching the FA Cup for the League 1/2 matchups in some shitbox piss smelling rust bucket stadium in miserable rainy weather with mud pits in front of goal. You can literally hear the fans mocking the players and all kinds of shit. love it.

I think they'll be more than just east/west. My guess is that it'll look similar to the pro leagues where there will be a B1G West, B1G Central, B1G North, etc.
Yep, at least in football and basketball. Between this and NIL, they're sort of giving up the ghost on the whole thing about athletics being a vehicle to get an education.
Maybe in the less revenue generating sports it'll still be about student-athletes.
Yeah, my guess is that the next move is for the B1G and the SEC to pick apart the ACC. Maybe pick up one or two more Big XII teams too.

That said, the Pac-12 does not look attractive to Oregon right now.
Dennis Dodd is reporting that the B1G has told Oregon and Washington that they're 'standing pat' for now.
That article also says the B1G is waiting to hear from Notre Dame.

So, in basketball, 3 super conferences. Conferences tournament champs get automatic Final Four berths.
The other schools play a separate NCAA 64 team tournament with the winner getting the fourth spot in the Final Four. Winner is crowned NCAA Champ.
