I think it is crazy. But I guess there is a reason they have never made me B10 Commish.

Yep, but thinking a bit more, the big sport athletes are now being paid so I don't care that they get back at 5AM for an 8AM class.
But the kids in the other sports are stuck with that too.
Left handed sports I bet will play regional and maybe not the entire conference or something. It would almost make sense to just separate football and basketball

Nope, not even close. I've felt for a while that colleges should get out of big athletics. Make everything a club sport with no scholly's. Too many people are making way too much money and the NCAA has no power to do anything to prevent cheating (see Kansas).

I wouldn't want to play soccer at UCLA and now have conf games at Maryland and Rutgers and Penn st Ohio st etc
I'm sure they wouldn't schedule them back-to-back. Probably arrange the schedule so there would be a Western swing, Midwest, and East. Sort of regional, as you suggested.
I hate all the expansion.

The Rose Bowl committee must love this one. UCLA and Cal in the Rose Bowl. Meh.
I do too. I loved the B1G when it was just the Big Ten and you could play a round-robin schedule in BB and FB.
Money rules. Which is why I agree with Marvin about doing away with all athletic scholarships and give out based on need and scholarship. But that ain't gonna happen.
It will be interesting to see the cultural difference between the SEC and B1G, which is already in evidence.

Miami's incoming qb landed a $9.5 million dollar nil deal. Few more years of price increases and there will be no point to risk your body and mind in the nfl. Few years of college and retire.

Remember when Coach Knight was mad about playing an ESPN game at Wisconsin or somewhere like that on a Tuesday night? His has been a bygone era for a long time, but NIL and this type of conference realignment is making even moreso.
My guess is the the remaining Big XII and PAC 12 teams form a conference.
But I bet Kansas eventually joins the B1G - and there are rumblings of some combination of Stanford/Cal/Oregon and Washington doing the same, so that's not saying much.
