I just read one of his posts and it made me ill to see that he follows the same baseball team as me.
Twin was among the never-set-foot-on-campus non-grad Knight fans that thankfully became a PU fan on GBI when he is a better fit.
His latest meltdown was claiming that Davis "faked" his injury when he got Haased in the PU game (contact was unintentional in this case). Apparently, according the Twinny Davis faked the injury all the way to leaving the game and not returning when the really needed him. Now that is dedicated faking...

Can someone please elaborate on this "looper" term? I see it occasionally and I'm curious. There was an Indy Star forum where I would see "looper" used as well. What's the history?
Simply, it referred to those who were more Bob Knight fans than IU fans, and they were a little over-the-top in that allegiance.
Bunch of guys who used to be Peegsters back in the late 90s-early 00s. They had their own little forum called HoopLoops. They ran off and started it after an old white man was fired and a young black man was hired in his place. They had all sorts of pictures and videos with racist captions making fun of how Davis and black players spoke. They also posted horrible things about Mike's youngest child, who was maybe three or four at the time. Consider yourself lucky you aren't familiar with them.
If by over the top you mean....

harassing posters with email and phone calls
threatening personal assualt to posters
calling employers of posters hoping to get them fired
calling spouses of posters who were in the divorce process
suing the university
trading their IU gear for Texas Tech gear

That is a definition. A dissertation would be much longer. Is there any good to it? Sure...anything that keeps those guys out of this place is always good.

I'm sure they still lurk under different names. Some posted under different names up until a few years ago.
I've no doubt that you can personally verify this by their unique posting style coupled with their threats and racist rants, which most assuredly have continued unabated.

I'm not saying it's not possible, but there's no indication via the tone of posts that would lead me to believe that. And if they do lurk, it's inconsequential. The fact that Rangeline is so fixated on the Loopers leads me to wonder if he wasn't a target of their harassment at some point.
No, you seem awfully fixated on them. Unless you've already forgotten, you're the one that took a benign post and tried to make it something it's not.

The poster asked what a looper was. I told him. I'm sorry it doesn't paint the quaint little picture you want it too.
I only lurked at the tail end of the Loopers reign of terror. They could certainly be cruel toward Davis, but when they left a lot of basketball knowledge vanished from the board as well. Was RMKFan1 (or whatever) considered a Looper?

"Sicks" as in six, so, 46…as in the 46 guys who sued IU.
The loopers were also total jerks on the TT basketball board, informing (whining that) the long time local fans were not nearly supportive enough of RMK.
A current poster here from the state of Nevada was a huge thorn in their sides.
