Oh yeah giving a 4 trillion dollar tax cut to the millionaires and billionaires is a great thing. While taking away $890 million from Medicaid, taking away meals on wheels, SNAP which feeds poor children and on and on. Yeah and kicking a million people out of their jobs just because you can is really great for the country. Those folks will lose their homes, their opportunities for a descent life. And don’t forget get that 70% of the federal workforce is not in the DC area but rather spread throughout the country. Watch what happens to the economy when a million former federal workers can’t buy groceries, clothes, durable goods etc. Think the economy is will just hum along? You f***ing worshippers of the orange orangutan will get a front row seat to the destruction of the greatest experiment in the history of the world. American Democracy.Paragraphs. You rambled a lot, but I will say downsizing government and moving capital to the private sector is a good thing for the average American.
These guys don't get it but they are about to find out. My favorite is the MAGAs around me talking about all the manufacturing that will come back onshore. Manufacturing facilities of any size take years to build and corporate leaders know the tariffs may no longer be in place when finalized.Oh yeah giving a 4 trillion dollar tax cut to the millionaires and billionaires is a great thing. The gov ees who are employable will find jobs. There are always jobs. Those who are sloths will have to downsize. That’s life. All the negativity they have created with their poorly handled DOGE execution is impacting consumer confidence. Consumers are going to pullback. The shit show is happening so much faster than I thought possible.
Trump jock sniffers, get off this board for a bit and go read the comments section of ANY financial article. Few are happy with how things are headed.
You can’t have it both ways. If tariffs don’t lead to on shoring then the size and scope of them are too small and they’ll have little impact on the overall economy. Instead of reading financial articles, just follow what Bessent says. They’re being very transparent with what they’re trying to do.These guys don't get it but they are about to find out. What do you history books say about Smoot-Hawley? Do they call it a success? You can’t have it both ways. Trump implemented tariffs his 1st term. What happened? Very little. It didn’t have much impact on the economy. What do you history books say about Smoot-Hawley? Do they call it a success?

I’m curious when he’s going to lower gas prices. Seems he said he could fix that on day one along with every other perceived ill this country suffers from. Can’t wait till he deports 11M illegal immigrants. In 2022 illegal immigrants paid nearly $47B in federal taxes and $30B in state and local taxes. 25% of farm workers are under paid and overworked immigrants. 17% of construction workers are immigrants. 12% of food service employees are immigrants. Deport them all I say. That will reduce the GDP by 4.2-6.8%. Businesses that employ Americans will shutter because of the cascading effects. Unemployment will skyrocket and you will then reap what you sow. Immigration is a Congressional issue that the spineless refuse to address. Back in W’s administration the gang of 8 had a bipartisan immigration bill promptly killed by the republican majority. Then again a couple years ago another bipartisan bill was worked out but the dancing Orange Orangutan told speaker Johnson to kill it. So you see republicans don’t really want to fix it in a well thought out way. They just want to use it as an election cudgel in order to get re-elected and stay in power. Meanwhile the economy and our standing in the world begins the long process of circling the drain. Enjoy the view from the toilet.Trump implemented tariffs his 1st term. What happened? Very little. I’ll be surprised if they deport 2 million during his term and a short term drop in GDP (assuming it happens) is well worth it.I’m curious when he’s going to lower gas prices. PWhat’s your point?
What makes American printers double in cost?P
It seems self evident. We put tariffs to boost a US segment, other countries respond so we pay those people hurt out of federal funds. Why don't we just pay GM to build parts here and skip all the theatrics?
I have mentioned board gaming, almost all are produced overseas. Tariffs will drive up the cost greatly, American printers are basically double in cost. So prices will go up, it is a low margin industry, and sales will go down. There are more industries like that.
Pro tariff ignores the law of unintended consequences. America will lose exports and those jobs. Americans will pay more.
I don’t know why we need to manufacture cars here. They all suck, except Tesla and some Fords.P

I don't want the government picking the winners and losers. And yes I realize government is picking winners and loser through taxation, but I prefer that to just outright picking companies. And I doubt my wet dream of having a small consumption/sales tax is happening anytime soon, which is irrelevant to this discussion 😁P

I've never said there isn't any tradeoffs and I agree increasing taxes will force Americans to pay more for some goods. It's also why I'm not worried about tariffs. I think they will be judicial with them. There are some benefits from tariffs that can help address some of the unintended consequences of being the world reserve currency. 30 years of shipping our jobs overseas has led to a depleted middle class and industrial base. Trying to address those issues, isn't a terrible idea. For example, we might want to be able to produce enough bullets to fight a war because I doubt China is going to send us bullets for paper if a war broke out.I have mentioned board gaming, almost all are produced overseas. Better to see American millionaires and billionaires receive the money than giving away to foreign countries!Oh yeah giving a 4 trillion dollar tax cut to the millionaires and billionaires is a great thing. Do you understand fundamental principles. When all the construction workers are deported houses don’t get built. That means there is a lower number of houses than there is demand. Laws of supply and demand says prices will increase not go down.I’ll be surprised if they deport 2 million during his term and a short term drop in GDP (assuming it happens) is well worth it.
What happens to housing prices? Education costs? Healthcare costs? They all go down, Also, what do you think happens to wages for working class Americans? They go up. Deporting illegal immigrants is good for the working class and middle class.
lol….How is unemployment going to increase when we’re deporting low skilled/ low wage workers? The opposite will happen. Do you ever think about what you write?
What would give you any confidence that this administration would be judicial with anything they do. Have they done so in the first month? Rhetorical question. How is cutting cancer research, firing hundreds of thousand workers, putting conspiracy theorists in charge of the FBI and DOJ judicial? President Musk could care less about the people who keep this country moving forward.I don't want the government picking the winners and losers. Dopey....Do you understand fundamental principles. When all the construction workers are deported houses don’t get built. That means there is a lower number of houses than there is demand. Laws of supply and demand says prices will increase not go down.
When the farm workers are deported houses, crops will rot in the fields. Again supply and demand. Not enough food, price goes up to reduce the demand.
You’re an ignorant fool if you think healthcare costs are going down because you deported immigrants. Immigrants utilize the healthcare system far less than Americans while paying more through health insurance premiums and taxes than they utilize. They have greater barriers to the healthcare system due to their status.
They also commit far fewer crimes than native born Americans. These are the facts. Try doing a bit of research rather than getting your information from far right websites. You know the ones MTG quotes about Jewish space lasers causing the California wildfires.
25% of farm workers and 17% of construction workers. Who’s filling those jobs when they’re deported. Oh yeah I’d bet the line of Americans will be around the block for those wanting to pick crops for next to nothing.Dopey....
All US construction and farm workers are illegals..
Lunatic. What would give you any confidence that this administration would be judicial with anything they do. Have they done so in the first month? Rhetorical question. And while they deport millions, they offer a gold card for $5M to those who want to live in America. You just can’t make this crap up.
I can't blame him for pushing hard for the guarantees. But, with hat in hand, when your in mortal combat, building and assuming trust is better than pissing off the white house.
I stopped reading after this ^^ . I figure that it's just another "I hate that Joseph Stalin isn't in American leadership anymore, well at least in the white house anyway.I’m curious when he’s

Don't Trump and Vance treat EVERYone the same way if they don't wear suits in the White House?Maybe not to get shit on and not asked a stupid question about wearing suits from MTG boyfriend
Is this you advocating for a underclass who is paid “next to nothing” and has little bargaining power because of their citizenship status? Rather than companies just paying people more?25% of farm workers and 17% of construction workers. Who’s filling those jobs when they’re deported. Oh yeah I’d bet the line of Americans will be around the block for those wanting to pick crops for next to nothing.
How does this asshole know she was doing that instead of reacting to Trump/Vance attacking her president and suggesting that America would no longer send aid to opposing Trump's KGB buddy?
This is about knowing what will happen when the mass deportations happen. Who’s going to fill those jobs? There are not nearly enough qualified construction workers to fill the openings now let alone when the immigrants are booted. And whatever the job an immigrant does will not be filled by Americans because the pay is too low. They can sit on their arses and collect welfare and unemployment. But now let’s assume companies will pay higher wages to entice Americans to fill those positions. Do you really believe that those same companies are not going to pass on their higher cost to the American people? And when our exports get more expensive as well, other countries will source elsewhere for less money. Is this you advocating for a underclass who is paid “next to nothing” and has little bargaining power because of their citizenship status? Rather than companies just paying people more?
Crazy what has happened to progressives. All because they hate Trump.
I mean, when was the last time that DC reneged on a promise? Midgets from Uganda maybe? Simply STFU and take the weapons today, and dig up some dirt for us.
easy guess is that it did have an effect on the economy and Trump had to spend taxpayer money bailing out the farmers that were impacted by his tariffs. So who paid for the tariffs? we did. What’s your point?
