Seems unconstitutional to me. Like using prisoners to do contract work.
The 21st Amendment gives the states carte blanch when it comes to anything alcohol related.

There's a disconnect between the writer of the headline and what the article actually says. Oil and gas are hardly "exempt for now". The 10% tariff on Canadian energy will have significant effects.
From the article:
The 10% tariff on Canadian energy is a major development for an industry that almost unilaterally sells crude oil to the U.S. Canada Energy Regulator reported that in 2023 it sent about 97% of all its crude oil exports to the United States.
For U.S. refineries that are specifically tuned to Canadian oil, any costs associated with switching imports could lead to more expensive gas prices at the pump.
--
if they don't switch suppliers and pay the tariff, they are not paying that 10% out of the goodness of their hearts. It comes out of our skin.
Tariffs for Canada paused for 30 days.Canada will cave shortly.
Yep as expected. The fear mongering in the media was as usual for nothing. Probably why most people ignore them now.Tariffs for Canada paused for 30 days.
Just announced.
Gee. Dealing.
The article mentioned that Canadian crude oil (for whatever reason) is often converted to motor oil and so the cost for an oil change is likely to go up a lot, and very quicklyA quick google search along those lines say we import about 67% of our crude from Canada (60%) and Mexico (7%). That being said, only about 25% of that crude imported from Canada and Mexico is turned into fossil fuels. So to what degree does that affect us at the pump and elsewhere I dunno, but it's certainly not at the level many of the stories/reports would imply.
There it is. This is what Trump was digging for.

I’ve been out of the dating scene for a while, Murt, but a couple slices of Casey’s and some red hots seems like a good date night.@NPT @UncleMark @stollcpa lock the thread. The amount of people eating gas station pizza is appalling. Not a good look for a big ten school
Thx

Alright Trudeau, you’ve got 30 days. Better get to cracking.
Reports I'm seeing state that the troop commitments had already been made some time ago, by both Canada and Mexico.Alright Trudeau, you’ve got 30 days. Better get to cracking.
Yep. Just like Colombia, who conceded nothing. Hell, Colombia got what THEY had demanded.Reports I'm seeing state that the troop commitments had already been made some time ago, by both Canada and Mexico.
Happened about 2 hours after OPEC told Trump to go pound sand. 😂 So much for leverage.Paused for 30 days per Trudeau.
Support your local breweries!I could drink nothing but local beer and be fine. Crazy byproduct of that craft craze. I recognize not the point but I have taken to buying mostly local beer.
Beer should NOT taste like pumpkin, or like any fruit (other than perhaps a little hint of lime, ADDED fresh).
No. Support breweries that make good beer. If they happen to be local then thats a bonus. Lots of "local" breweries make shit though.Support your local breweries!
Of course you fruit your beer. Least surprising response you could have made, fruit.
I've never had fruit in my beer in Germany, but I've only been in Bavaria. Maybe they do it up north? No. Support breweries that make good beer. If they happen to be local then that a bonus. Lots of "local" breweries make shit though.
I'm not a big fruit in beer fan but the Germans and Mexicans are so it cant be all bad.

I do. We go and eat there periodically too. It’s important to support small businesses. Our edibles business officially went under today. It’s not easy to start things and get them to work. It’s almost nutty how difficult it is. Every little thing you can do to support small biz against the big guys is vital. Tho Schlafly is old money but…. Point standsSupport your local breweries!

Trump seems to be following the Mike Woodson playbook on “Winning.”
I knew he wouldn't have the balls to follow through.
From Trudeaus tweet-Canada announced a deal last December. They didn't add anything that I can see (could be wrong though).

They do in Bavaria they just are not as common as Pilsner and Helles. Hefe's will regularly have an orange or lemon slice added. Radlers originate from that region as well. In northern Germany you have the Berliner Weiss, which is served fruited syrup that you add to taste.I've never had fruit in my beer in Germany, but I've only been in Bavaria. Maybe they do it up north?
Didn't think I'd have to spell it out. " Don't buy shit beer regardless of where it's brewed" seemed pretty basic. The 2 murt mentioned make good beer, from what I've had in the past.
Thank you brother. Founder was actually my peoplesoft guy. Three of my closest friends with their midlife crisis pivot lol. UghSorry to hear the edibles business is gone, buddy.
Boiled meat and warm beer.
Liver and onions. Fish and chips.Boiled meat and warm beer.
Marmite prices will go through the roof.

I've spent time drinking hefeweissen at Augustiner, Hofbrau, and a few local biergartens. Have never seen a slice of citrus in one. They do in Bavaria they just are not as common as Pilsner and Helles. Hefe's will regularly have an orange or lemon slice added.
An entire vault. Figuring out wtfGot any surplus inventory?
I've never had an Augustiner. I've had several chances. I've been in their Oktoberfest tent but decided to hold off until we got to our reservation at the Hacker tent. I need to pick some up. I think they make a Dunkel Weiss and f-cking love a good Dunkel weiss.I've spent time drinking hefeweissen at Augustiner, Hofbrau, and a few local biergartens. I guess I knew about the syrup in a berliner, but was thinking about a slice of fruit.
My local pizza and beer joint has a Weihenstephan Dunkel on tap right now. So good.I've never had an Augustiner. I've had several chances.
