While Canada may send us 97% of all their crude exports but it got me wondering, how much is that as a percentage of what we import and what is it used for?
A quick google search along those lines say we import about 67% of our crude from Canada (60%) and Mexico (7%). That being said, only about 25% of that crude imported from Canada and Mexico is turned into fossil fuels. So to what degree does that affect us at the pump and elsewhere I dunno, but it's certainly not at the level many of the stories/reports would imply.
Yep as expected. The fear mongering in the media was as usual for nothing. Probably why most people ignore them now.
The article mentioned that Canadian crude oil (for whatever reason) is often converted to motor oil and so the cost for an oil change is likely to go up a lot, and very quickly

I'm not a big fruit in beer fan but the Germans and Mexicans are, so it cant be all bad.
I've never had fruit in my beer in Germany, but I've only been in Bavaria. Maybe they do it up north?

Canada announced a deal last December. They didn't add anything that I can see (could be wrong though).

Looks like Trump got some additional measures.
They do in Bavaria they just are not as common as Pilsner and Helles. Hefe's will regularly have an orange or lemon slice added. Radlers originate from that region as well. In northern Germany you have the Berliner Weiss, which is served fruited syrup that you add to taste.
It just bugs me when people say support local. There is a lot of shitty local beer owned by shitty people that dont deserve support. But if the local brewery is good and run by good folks then hell yeah I'll support.

I've never had an Augustiner. I've had several chances. I've been in their Oktoberfest tent but decided to hold off until we got to our reservation at the Hacker tent. I need to pick some up. I think they make a Dunkel Weiss and f-cking love a good Dunkel weiss.
My local pizza and beer joint has a Weihenstephan Dunkel on tap right now. So good.
