When the text of the Constitution is inconvenient to Trump, or to any wannabe dictator, he will ignore it. This isn't hard to grasp.

That's rich given Trump's propensity for ignoring the constitution. But that's ok because he labels himself a republican.
What part of the Constitution has Trump violated or intended to violate?

Here is what I know about the constitution and contemporary politics.

President Obama publicly lamented the fact that the constitution limited his authority.

The Democrats want to limit free speech by amendment.

The Democrats want to dump the second amendment.

The Democrats want to eliminate the electoral college and introduce the concept of a national election which disempowers states.

The Democrats want the change how the senate is selected by also disempowering states.

Neither Trump or the Republicans have launched such a fusillade against the Constitution.

Amending the Constitution isn't unconstitutional.

quoting (ahem) YOU: ...very fact of foreign confinement violates the 8th.

Link? Are you talking about hate speech? Incitement to violence has never been fully protected speech

Bullshit. 2nd A is fine with limiting access to hand grenades and rocket launchers, for example. The simple argument is that modern military style semiautomatic weaponry out to be categorized similarly

The EC has been debated for a couple of centuries now, often switching sides as to who is for it and who is against it. A very large part of the reason for the EC was to give an avenue for political elite to correct "mistakes" made by the populace

Is this a Salvadoran offer or a deal? CNN uses both words interchangeably.
FYI, it appears that the part about taking American citizens is an offer that the administration hasn't suggested they would try to take up. I think what is actually happening here is El Salvador is trying to get us to offshore our Prison Industrial Complex to them, because they need the fees we would pay them to shore up gaps in the funding of their prison system. So they are happy to take anyone, so long as they can legally put them in a prison cell and send us a bill for the trouble.

If we go by original intent, Madison made it clear they never intended for winner-take-all but wanted votes apportioned by district. I suspect it completely screws the Democrats but I think that is the way it should work.

I agree entirely with you in thinking that the election of Presidential Electors by districts, is an amendment very proper to be brought forward at the same time with that relating to the eventual choice of President by the H. of Reps. The district mode was mostly, if not exclusively in view when the Constitution was framed & adopted; and was exchanged for the general ticket & the Legislative election, as the only expedient for baffling the policy of the particular States which had set the example
