This is super simple. A Trumpster Twitter Twit says it’s great that Trudeau steps down so dbm thinks it’s great too. Dbm doesn’t have the slightest idea why it’s great.

But I can report that my frenemy from Toronto who runs the US subsidiary of a Canadian company we compete with is pretty happy with this news. I can’t say I blame him.
I don’t know, exactly. He just really dislikes him.
But he’s lived here since before Trudeau was in office. So there’s that. But he spent most of his life in Ontario.

It's interesting to me. I've worked in Canada a ton and there is almost as big of a division in Canadian politics as there is in American. Americans tend to view Trudeau through our own partisan lens, but I don't think Trudeau's exit has much to do with that. I think most of the differences are more local than Americans weighing in on Trudeau appreciate.

I’ve always thought he appeared weak and chose odd sides of arguments (unfettered immigration).

My guys in our Toronto office are super polite, but I've gathered they don't care for him for the following reasons:
Immigration is out of control.
Housing is unaffordable.

I think for the most part that is true. Then the conservatives take over and it's not long til people are pissed off with them and they elect liberals. I can remember posters on here saying the Republican party was dead and now I've seen some insinuate that the Democratic party is dead. It's not dead, it's going thru it's low cycle but rest assured that the Republicans will put them back in power in the future.
