Blackmon tracker
Junior guard James Blackmon Jr.’s climb up the all-time IU scoring list is on pause since his injury at Michigan, where he scored just four points. That still moved him past Rick Calloway for 46th with 1,076 points, but Blackmon remains 19 points behind Daryl Thomas for 45th.

A night to remember
Indiana’s first triple overtime game in 30 years produced a number of performances that were eye-opening, if not record-breaking.

In addition to the four players scoring a career high in points — Thomas Bryant (31), Robert Johnson (27), Josh Newkirk (27) and Devonte Green (10) — this was the first time this season a team has had at least three players score 27 points. It was the first time three IU players scored 20 or more since Dec. 27, 2014, against Georgetown at Madison Square Garden when Yogi Ferrell (27), Troy Williams (23) and James Blackmon Jr. (22) accomplished the feat in an overtime loss.

The same Hoosier quartet also was the first to log 40 minutes or more since Eric Gordon, D.J. White, Armon Bassett and Jordan Crawford did so in an overtime loss at Penn State on March 9, 2008.
Johnson was the first IU player to log 50 minutes since both Marshall Strickland and Bracey Wright did so against Iowa on Feb. 7, 2004, in a double overtime loss to Iowa at Assembly Hall.

As a team, Indiana’s 56 rebounds were the most since the Hoosiers hauled in 58 against Evansville on Nov. 26, 1983.
