I appreciate your stance and agree a little with you. You don’t go get 8 rebounds in the Big at 6’5” by being a fraud. The kid has a lot of limitations, but plays so damn hard, I can’t not root for him.
And another thing, all this trying stuff is great an all but I’m decently plugged in and I never hear stories of Leal and gallo practicing basketball extra hard. Never putting up shots or working out on there own. They are professional salesman off the court though. Models and endorsements everywhere. That shit pisses me off. I don’t like people getting tons of money for shitty work. This season has obviously not been what any fan would want as a whole. The few positives I will take from it are Goode, Galloway and Leal’s play. They play as hard as you could possibly want. The argument that Leal should not even be playing is a whole different animal. But I would take that kid’s effort any day of the week! I am so glad Woodson will be gone, but good god, any kid that will bust their ass like these three will always get my appreciation! Let’s go get a great coach!
Well I am not plugged in and have no idea about either ones work ethics. I did raise two boys that played high school ball. One really good and one, let’s just say, physically challenged, that took advantage of every opportunity he could to stay on the court. He never started the season but always did by the end. I guess leal’s play reminds me a little of that and draws me in a little. I get he is getting paid a lot and should perform, so there is that. Just trying to enjoy what is left with this season, knowing we get a reboot soon. And another thing, all this trying stuff is great an all but I’m decently plugged in and I never hear stories of Leal and gallo practicing basketball extra hard. They both are atrocious shooters. Practice a damn FT.
Played good aggressive physical D on Thornton yesterday. You're just not going to accept it, but you're wrong. We're playing much better with Leal on the floor. Watch him on the defensive end: he is more aware than anyone of what's going on, and hustling to help and direct others. Yes, AC thinks he's annoying, but he's helping and they all acknowledge that.I agree Leal try’s hard, I think the main thing that really digs me is how he plays. He just try’s to trick the refs. He’s a professional actor. He knows how to get away with stuff and exaggerates everything. I hate it, it’s not basketball.
I agree and unfortunately it’s trickling down to elementary kids. Kids at my 9 years old games are already throwing their hands up on every call, etc. it’s pathetic. Watched a kid get fouled on a made layup, flexed his muscles , then proceeded to shoot an airball free throw. Being a good role model also includes playing the game the right way in its true form. Flopping , acting , and complaining all the time are not true basketball. Unfortunately there’s not many good role models in college or NBA.I agree Leal try’s hard, I think the main thing that really digs me is how he plays. He just try’s to trick the refs. Coach can nip that in the bud. Sit the kid's ass on the bench for a while, tell him you don't what to see that crap.I agree and unfortunately it’s trickling down to elementary kids. My kids played Y ball twenty years ago and the kids were doing the same thing then….this is not a new thing! Let’s not get carried away by the new age.I agree and unfortunately it’s trickling down to elementary kids. I’m old now and old school but just don’t get that behavior. When I played you raised your hand when you fouled and you knew you fouled. Seems like coaches are developing these kids to think they’re something they’re not. Obviously not all coaches , just different times I guess.Coach can nip that in the bud. I’m old too. When did you play?my boys started in 2000I’m old now and old school but just don’t get that behavior. When I played you raised your hand when you fouled and you knew you fouled. LOLLeal got those chances because of Jerome and Race being in foul trouble. Frankly tho, he should have got more play earlier as well. I love leal and his effort and commitment off the court are second to none.
Hey man, things change. I fire people I hire every year. I saw him play, and formed and educated opinion about his basketball play and goals while he is here.LOL
I took a stroll down memory lane. You were all about what Leal would be as a junior and senior also.
Had some great Lander takes too.
You still can’t guard that old man lolWhat an egomaniac does. Push that narrative. You got fired old man.
Correct, I am not good at basketball. Great at talking about it though! You still can’t guard that old man lol
I played some HS ball in the late 80s / early 90s.I’m old too. When did you play?my boys started in 2000
