Woodson is a super arrogant guy which I don't mind if you can't back it up with success. He can't but in his mind he is still a great coach. Problem is he came in saying he wanted to win ncaa titles and can only go 10-10 with the top nil in the conference. I am sure he leaves thinking he did his job but this team was picked to finish 2nd not 9th.
That seemed more like ‘I’m being forced to leave, and don’t want to’. He ain’t happy, but was never up to the job.
He was up to the title of the job and hoping people kiss his his behind because of his past. But he was never willing to bust his behind which it takes to build a program. He just thought it was like the nba and get some guys in the spring and roll. People hate sampson I get it but I remember he was out walking with DeAndre Thomas everyday to get him to lose weight. That's what ot takes in college a full 24/7 mentality and Woodson didn't have it or even close. You have to live the job.
I’m fine with him leaving with his head up. Just be sure and leave.

TIC, With that stellar record, maybe Woody can get another P4 gig. I’m sure his agent is already sorting through all kinds of big time offers. The many potential suitors are marveling at such modern offensive efficiency and energy on the defensive end by guys he can bring with in MM, BT and KC.
Anthony Leal sucks at basketball. I hate watching him flail like a fish out of water trying to get calls.

Leal made 1 nice defensive play yesterday and took 1 flop. That’s all. Outside of that all he did was immediately pass to a teammate every time he touched the ball. U can’t win with a guard who doesn’t look to score in today’s game. Everyone gets so excited about how hard he plays and that’s great, but effort without the talent isn’t going to get us anywhere other than a .500 conference record
Stop stat watching. His plus/minus was off the charts. He’s also not a defensive liability. Would you rather have a shoot at all costs Tucker and Carlyle on the floor? Not me. Carlyle takes such bad shots he scores for the other team. No guard on our team has as many rebounds as him either.

I’d rather Chris beard coached players with the same talent level as k9 and Tucker. Leal doesn’t play for good coaches at IU. Ever.

Indiana is 7-6 in games where Leal plays over 20 minutes and 9-8 in games where he plays over 15 minutes this season. 8-8 in conference play when he plays above 15. 2-2 when he plays less than 15 minutes in conference play.
So we are shitty with him and without him. But hey atleast he doesn’t have talent so we can’t say he underachieved. WE TRY HARD!!!
Rumor is St John’s is trying to trade Pitino to get Woodson.
i don't get why people rag on leal? (or any of our guys as long as they're competing)

Everyone would rather have that. It doesn’t mean that Leal is not contributing in the present.
Contributing to what? A shit bubble team? Nothing to celebrate at IU. We aren’t Iowa.
But, we are where we are. We're not a good team. We know our coach is leaving at the end of the year and these guys, led by Leal, are scrapping for wins, in a way they haven't all year. And, bonus for you: Leal is gone at the end of the year too. Sit back and enjoy it. It's better than them mailing it in. I actually think the mid-season announcement has worked out perfectly. We've got a head start on every school for hiring, and it's eliminated fan booing and criticism of Woody and is allowing a legend to walk off with some dignity and no bickering, and we're headed for the tourney which is better than suffering through what UL and UM did last year before their coaches departed.
You have always liked the AC guys. They unanimously picked Leal (again) for their Hustle Award and even joked it should be renamed for him. You're just wrong on Leal... except I'll agree he doesn't see the floor for a really good, top 15ish team, but again, that ain't us! Leal's a homegrown kid who has fought for his minutes and is helping this team. Enjoy it.
Leal is a scrub the AH guys would all agree. That hustle award goes to the scrub. Coach T called him an Alf. Annoying lil fuuuck. He’s the same as Eric Suhr. I liked Suhr, when he played for 5 mins. I would have hated if he started.
This season has obviously not been what any fan would want as a whole. The few positives I will take from it are Goode, Galloway and Leal’s play. They play as hard as you could possibly want. The argument that Leal should not even be playing is a whole different animal. But I would take that kid’s effort any day of the week! I am so glad Woodson will be gone, but good god, any kid that will bust their ass like these three will always get my appreciation! Let’s go get a great coach!
I agree Leal try’s hard, I think the main thing that really digs me is how he plays. He just try’s to trick the refs. He’s a professional actor. He knows how to get away with stuff and exaggerates everything. I hate it, it’s not basketball.
