Tom Crean about to be fired per reports

Waiting to until the end of the season waters down the "with cause' argument. They can point to an "investigation" to delay but it takes the legs out of it.

I jad not thought of it that way but that does make sense.
Problem is you and I look at it honestly and the decision will be made by lawyers.
I don't ubderstand this line of thinking. He's under contract and there's a big chunk of money that they would pay if they fire him for cause and it gets reversed in a suit. Take your time and do it the right way. The latest Zoom presser with the hot mic incident shows that he's in trouble and knows it. UGA will dot the Is and cross the Ts and keep their buyout money when he gets canned on selection Sunday or the day after.

Wouldn't surprise me if they're trying to use the time to line up candidates for the job, so there's very little time without a head coach for the program.

Crean had two assistants get intoa fight during a game.
Dakich predicted UG would use it as a reason to fire with cause and avoid a buyout (3M?).
Season ends soon for them and we shall see.
If it was really “cause,” they would have fired him when it happened. Signed, The Lawyers.

Letting him keep coaching is real life evidence it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Georgia is 6-24/1-16 with bad public internal dissension.
Last year, 14-12/7-11
Year before, 16-16/5-13
Year before 11-21/2-16.

Crean is gone because he didn’t win. In year 4, he is 1-16 in his league. If Georgia keeps him, they tell the world many wrong things.

If ADs want to save “buy out” money, define “cause” in contracts to include falling below certain defined winning goals.
