They had the easiest path to the Final Four of any team in the CFP - - SMU at home and Boise State. Again, we'll see how they are without all-World Tyler Warren. And Franklin, I predict, will soon (within 12 months) resign or be terminated.

Yeah, I think you overstate the importance of Warren. PSU will be fine and will remain in the CFP or on the bubble annually. They were in the Big 10 Championship, so they had already proven themself plenty formidable prior to beating two very good teams that just happened to be lesser in the pool of very good teams.

Again, they lose guys like them every year and then just replace them with the next blue chip. Maybe not as good, but good enough. And then they have guys at other positions that rise up, get better and tend to shine.

If you compare what we lost in terms of production, to what they are losing, we lost a ton more. We've had a good portal season, so we're optimistic about being as good next year, but they don't lose nearly as much as we do and they have 4-5 star guys just waiting for their opportunity.

I do agree that both of them are very special. Yet, last year they lost their starting tackles(1st and 2nd round), two edges (1st and 3rd round), tight end that started over and alongside Warren in the top of the 4th, plus their starting center. When you are able to recruit the way that they are, you have talent to replenish. Please don’t make me give PSU any more credit 😂

I mean, that's a lot. You can't win 10-11 games with just 3 AAs. You gotta have pieces all over the field. Again, optimistic we've picked up nice replacement pieces, but if you're just talking about losses in personnel, I don't think it's close.

They lose not only the d end, but they lose the best tight end in the nation in Warren. They also lose a bunch of starters on defense, namely Kobe King, Jalen Kimber and Kevin Winston. They also lose basically their entire wide receiver core.

They also lose their backup qb, who had a pretty nice package there for him.

They bring back Aller, their top 2 running backs and most of their offensive line. On defense, they are bringing back a couple defensive ends and their d-tackles.

They are losing really solid talent.

Are Player Arrivals plus retained Player Improvement > or < what the teams lost? Will either team have a glaring hole that they couldn't fill? At this point, it is just guess work.
