To the Chris Beard Fan Club

We were told over and over during our search Indiana is not a good job anymore and no good coach would want to come here
Please tell me who told you this? The Voices in your head, unnamed social media/message board posters don't count. I'd like some reputable, professional names who are in tune with the world of college basketball.

It was all over this board. Justbpeople trying to get a reaction, but it was here.

A&M did pursue him. He turned them down to stay at Ole Miss. Do you think any of the rest of those schools are better than where he's at right now? Besides, the argument was never that schools are going to stay away from him. You know that.
Beard is a Texas Ex- no way any Longhorn wants to work in College Station when it and Bryan are the last two segrated towns in Texas.

Did you not ready message boards. People like you repeated it over and over again.

Villanova
Miami
Maryland
Texas A&M
Florida State
Utah
Iowa
Minnesota
Xavier

Add those to the list of openings from last year, whatever they were. That's a list of all of the other job openings, besides IU and Texas, that hired new coaches in this cycle. That's a lot of 'holier than thou' schools to pass on someone who doesn't have any character flaws (allegedly). Not one of them sniffed Chris Beard. Hmmm. I wonder why?
So you are going with the idea that Beard is not a desired coach after another Sweet 16 run? You go ahead with your opinion, but it won't be popular.

Ole Miss has never been past the Sweet 16 and this year was the second time they've reached that level. Last time? 2001. And absolutely clueless people want to rag on Beard.

Then why didn't anyone hire him?

I'll give you a hint. It's not because of his coaching prowess

I wonder if Villanova, Miami, Maryland, Florida State, Utah, Iowa, Minnesota, or Xavier pursued Woodson, Archie, or Crean?
Many on that list would have pursued Crean. He was already coaching at Marquette.

I believe they WERE UF students, but the actions didn't happen within a university program or activity, which is the strict scope of Title IX.
They were former Florida students.

Two women spoke with The Alligator about Golden's behavior while choosing to remain anonymous. The first woman — a former Florida student — claims Golden stalked her in person both in his car and on foot "more than 10 times." She also accused him of sending unsolicited photos of his genitalia, including one instance when the team was traveling on the road.

From The Alligator's reporting:

"At first, it starts off slow, like, 'Oh, wow. That's odd. This guy is showing us attention,'" the first woman said. "And then it becomes, 'Wow, he's kind of crossing a line. No, he didn't mean it that way.' Then it's, 'Wait, he's fully stepping over that line.' And then it's, 'Wow, there's a picture of his d*ck.' It was a full grooming process with all of us."

The second woman, who was also a former Florida student, claims Golden liked Instagram posts in an apparent attempt to get their attention before unliking them to avoid detection. She also claims he told her she was "his drug" or "good luck charm."

If I’m a coach I think really hard about leaving any SEC or B10 school for ANY school that’s not in one of those conferences.
Why? Because revenue sharing is just as good at a big east school when it pertains to basketball. They don’t have football at most of those schools to feed. It truly is a basketball conference. IU is in a good spot as they already said they will allocate more percentage to basketball but look at say Rutgers. They are struggling in revenue for basketball and football. The big East teams blow them away in basketball Nil and revenue sharing.

Shocking that zeke is happy that a dangerous stalker/predator won the national championship.

Lesson for kids as they get on social media, if you don't want dick pics, don't give random dudes your insta.

Zeke has zero issue with Golden. I guess believe all women is out the window in that case.
Florida's own Title IX department said their investigation couldn't exonerate him from the claims...meaning he likely did what was alleged, but because the women he stalked weren't UF students it didn't invoke Title IX.

"Florida's Title IX office adjudicated the case in January after a months-long investigation into the allegations, saying it found "no evidence" he violated Title IX. However, while the probe did not turn up a chargeable offense, it also did not completely exonerate the 39-year-old coach."

He wouldn't last a second at IU.

Wanna bet a case of Mac and cheese he coaches at a top program within the next 3 years?

Actually let’s have the winner dump Mac and cheese all over the other person. Deal?
Mac and Cheese should hang out with Indy.

Nope but Indy is obsessed with Beard. I cannot figure out what exactly happened but Indy is unhinged when it comes to beard.

Obsessed with Beard? Haven't mentioned Beard's name since he was vetted and no longer under consideration due to multiple incidents that precluded the one that got him fired from Texas. That was over a month ago.

I don't obsess over scumbags like you do.

Different day and age my friend. And they finally got him too.

Kevin Wilson was fired for drinking too much. If you're a coach at IU you better walk the straight and narrow.
He was? I thought it was abuse and gaslighting injured players. One had a career ending back injury. Then the coaching staff tried to badger him to stay for the sake of the teams gpa. Wilson’s drinking problem was just icing.
