One of the many things that many Dem candidates have stunk at in the last few cycles is being sincere in their interest in different cultures. People are proud of their history and there is nothing wrong with acknowledging that.
The term LatinX feels lazy, like someone saying, "It's super hard trying to understand the difference between someone whose ancestors are from Guatemala, someone whose ancestors are from Mexico, and someone whose ancestors are Chilean, so let's just lump call and treat them like one thing."
I mean, Latino is lazy, but LatinX is lazy and pandering. I mean, some people are so lazy as to call all people from Europe "Euros", but most people don't struggle to differentiate Brits, Italians, and Swedes and are able to respect the different cultures and history without pandering to them.
