To all you democrats

Obama came off as an excellent candidate because of his public speaking ability. He was a tremendous orator who ended up being a lousy and lazy president.

Didn't Obama ship 400 million dollars in cash to Iran on his last day in office? What a lousy president.
it was 837 trillion

Full agree. Co-sign. But you won’t do that because you can’t. You’re not allowed to.
We'll see. Someone in one of these threads actually brought up a very good point, although they didn't grasp why it was good: they mentioned that Trump was Trump and still somehow increased his share of the black and hispanic vote, and that should terrify Dems.

All the Dems need to realize is that the black man driving delivery for a linen company and drinking cheap booze at a dive bar after work represents the black vote far more than the intellectual who got a Ph.D. in African America Social Justice Media Studies. But the Dems have always been enamored by elites, so they gravitate toward the latter, though she is outnumbered 100-to-1 by the former.

Now, do I honestly believe we'll right the ship? I can't say I do. The only group of people stupider than the Republican leadership is the Democratic leadership. I'm just saying there is hope, because a path to victory does exist, and it's visible to anyone who still has eyes to see objectively.

Whomever said that about the delivery driver is correct. But your skepticism is spot on because the academic portion of your party that dominates the airwaves will never allow that proverbial driver to be the focus of the party unless his blackness is the focus and the focus is not the life he’s wanting to live and grind out for his family.

The delivery driver part was me. I've been thinking about it - not necessarily in those words - since before the election, as I listened to interview after interview with urban minority men who were clearly turned off by the current state of the Democratic party.

Dems put in their lot with lgbqtxyz. It’s dumb. They’re never voting pub anyway. Neither are the liberal academics. Dems get a new face and go back to focusing on workers they’ll be fine. I still believe the country all things being equal leans dem

They don't just dominate the airwaves. Unfortunately, the people who are most active and vocal in the Democratic party and who are the Democratic party staffers are the PHD in afro-eurasian sociology and not your average Democratic Joe.

Not ALL.

But, let's be honest, look at the last 30 years of Dem candidates.

1992/96 Clinton - Rockstar
2000 Gore - Good but gaffed himself a bit. Clinton did him no favors
2004 Kerry - snooze
2008/12 Obama - Rockstar
2016 Rodham-Clinton - qualified but evoked too strong a reaction from moderates and conservative (and lefties). Too long in Washington, too may skeletons
2020 Biden - saved by Clyburn otherwise useless after he made clear he wasn't going to be a moderate
2024 Harris - qualified on paper but that's where her campaign should have stayed.
2028 ????? - Decision time for dems.

Dems need to read the room and get back to non-woke, non-identity polticis. Say what you will about Trump but his identity politics boiled down to Dems bad adn he grew the Latino and Black vote. Which is something. It really, really is. The Dems can continue to ignore it at their own peril. And, while I would concede the 2016 Trump election was on the Pubs, 2024 was the result of missteps by the Dem party establishment. They knew Joe was done in 2022 and did nothing. This ones on them.

Hopefully they learn. Somebody needs to take over the part and wrestle it away from the wokesters. To be sure, the country is moving back to the middle and opportunity is right there in front of them.
Spot on. I was continually amazed how tone deaf and disconnected dems were through the entire process. We ALL knew Biden was in bad shape yet they hid Harris and did nothing to socialize her skills whatever they may be. They groomed no one…NO ONE

Ron DeSantis ran exclusively on culture wars and they could see how that worked. Being the party of woke will win you a state or two but never the General. I thought on a daily basis…they will fix this and it never happened.

And here we are in this shit show.

Point of order. I think the country leans slightly Dem on economics and slightly Republican on most social type of issues (not abortion so we don't go down that path). Trump won because he ran on both of those things and neither party was able to counter him.

If he paid any attention to any of your stances and your background over the past decade he would know that ad hominem is way off point.
I paid attention to his shit posts toward me and responded appropriately.
No idea about any of the rest of his history so he has the opportunity to fix that.

He used to be IURanger. He is former military and very much against people having AR-15's and other military adjacent type of weapons. The gravy seal thing doesn't fit, at all.

Replying to myself, but all the Democrats would have to do to win is go dust off Bill Clinton's platform from 1992 and find a non-crazy person to deliver the message.

Ahh, I remember that dude, wanted to shoot me because I suggested protecting kids and their grandparents from Covid.

He has an opportunity as I said.

That is a hell of a good idea. Compared that to the photo of those hypocrites kneeling with African scarves on.

I always found that odd. Like, I highly doubt George Floyd knew what a kente cloth was and, additionally, what do African American have to do with traditional tribal garb from actual Africans or African immigrants?

It’s ****ing weird is what I’m saying. My wife, an African, side eyed that one a bit as well as clear pandering. But, like, strangely misguided pandering. It reeks of not really even understanding the people you’re pandering to. It reeks of grouping people on the basis of skin color and assuming they are all the same.

Which, when you think of it, pretty much describes the Dems identity politics hole they’ve dug.

You say it better than I

It was cringe

Like calling latinos/as latinx. Most of them didn't like that. It is hard to build a big platform when you are at the same time distilling people down into ever smaller groups.

My party has drifted so much it’s almost unrecognizable. Why isn’t MFA the top line item for Dems?

Programs to help poor people will almost always benefit minorities. Focus on that. And stop focusing on the WHO it helps. Because it will help poor white people too. But when you try to segregate the two groups by saying one deserves the help while the other group caused their problems, well how the hell is that gonna work out. It’s shortsighted and now disastrous for the party and cause.

Dems are trying to find fault with our past instead of helping all people for the future.

****ing morons.

If it makes you feel better, my party is in the process of destroying itself too. I am thinking at the moment that in 2028 I would prefer a sane Democrat as President and a Republican legislature and maybe if they both agree that each of them are going to take an L on some things we can truly address our solvency issues w.r.t. the budget.

Yeah I know, fat chance....

Because it’s an awful idea.

SAY IT WITH ME

SHAPIRO
Shapiro has said some things that as a hard partisan Conservative have made me raise my eyebrows and think “this guy actually doesn’t seem insane”

The problem is I would like to see some action. He has talked a good game on corporate taxes, school choice, and Israel.

If he’s not willing to put it into action as Governor why should I believe he’ll do it as President.

A school choice bill was on his desk. He campaigned on school vouchers. The Teachers Unions got to him and he vetoed it.

He did reduce corporate taxes in PA, good on him, but by 1%, show some balls.

Still a step in the right direction.
