But your skepticism is spot on because the academic portion of your party that dominates the airwaves will never allow that proverbial driver to be the focus of the party unless his blackness is the focus and the focus is not the life he’s wanting to live and grind out for his family.

The delivery driver part was me. I've been thinking about it - not necessarily in those words - since before the election, as I listened to interview after interview with urban minority men who were clearly turned off by the current state of the Democratic party.
