Well if they violate the USMCA, that an issueLook, these tariffs are untargeted and stupid. We should be able to acknowledge that not everything our President does is smart or needed. This is neither, and it's in violation of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) which was one of his good accomplishments in his first term. What in the Wide World of Sports is he thinking?

What do you have against non-targeted tariffs? Reasonable ones are a legit tax. We do need to develop revenue some how.

"Canadian Bacon" is just a bad cut of ham ((actually that's not accurate, it's technically pork loin but that doesn't fit my narrative so please ignore that reality for the moment 😉)) so you're ahead of the game if you chose to either just go with ham or good ol' USA Bacon... If you're determined to have a bad cut of ham, go with Spam, with enough added garnish and hot sauce it'll nearly taste edible and the other 3 cans of your 4 pack won't expire for 5 years, so you can wait awhile to try to choke the rest of it down...

Pretty much the same goes for Mexico, aside from Tequila..., and of course, anyone serious about their Tequila has already loaded up... The exception there would be Fentanyl... If you're a Fentanyl addict you're fuqdedd... Trump has effectively put a Billion % Tariff on Cartel produced Fentanyl..., and with any luck will be putting the Fentanyl dealers out of business sooner than later...

I have my doubts about onshoring with our labor shortages. I also have my doubts about how much revenue tariffs will produce. By their nature they shift demand away from whatever you apply them to. For reference, see US soybeans. The last tariffs were a net 3.4 billion/month negative as posted above.

There isn't anything reasonable about across the board tariffs on Canada. We have a trade agreement with them. Why are you defending this? There's nothing Republican about these tax increases - and make no doubt, Americans will pay.
