It's the avocados from Mexico that will hit me. I don't know where guacamole was when I was young, but we didn't know of it and desperately needed it. I blame Taco Bell, they were the closest thing we had to Mexican food in Indiana until Chi Chis.

Biden's plan was a tax credit for all EVs, up to a certain number sold per manufacturer.
The GOP-led Congress only passed the tax credit after changing it so that you'd only get a tax credit from USA-based car companies.
I know, since I bought a Mazda PHEV in 2023 and didn't qualify. No biggie though since IIRC there were also income limits and that might have disqualified me anyway.
