It'll be more expensive next month...

In reality, unless you're addicted to something fairly unique, pretty much anything you can get from there you can already find here...

With the current exchange rate if you're really Jonesing for Turducken, yellow pea soup, boiled fiddleheads, and Oreilles de Crisse (deep fried smoked pork rinds)
you can just head up North and buy it at the source...

"Canadian Bacon" is just a bad cut of ham ((actually that's not accurate, it's technically pork loin but that doesn't fit my narrative so please ignore that reality for the moment 😉)) so you're ahead of the game if you chose to either just go with ham or good ol' USA Bacon... If you're determined to have a bad cut of ham, go with Spam, with enough added garnish and hot sauce it'll nearly taste edible and the other 3 cans of your 4 pack won't expire for 5 years, so you can wait awhile to try to choke the rest of it down...

Now Moosehead and Molson are about half a Hop ahead of month old cat urine (this IS accurate) and although Moosehead does have a cool looking bottle label the graphics can't overcome the taste..., so..., the President has done you a huge favor by steering you in a different direction if you're still drinking that crap... You should write him and Thank him...

Pretty much the same goes for Mexico, aside from Tequila..., and of course, anyone serious about their Tequila has already loaded up... The exception there would be Fentanyl... If you're a Fentanyl addict you're fuqdedd... Trump has effectively put a Billion % Tariff on Cartel produced Fentanyl..., and with any luck will be putting the Fentanyl dealers out of business sooner than later...

I hope you aren't building anything with lumber.

Fun fact: 84% of all dimensional softwood lumber produced in Canada is exported to the US. That's a lot of wood. Builds a lot of houses.

Will be getting pretty scarce & pricey. In 2023, the value of those boards was approximately $8,500,000,000. 25% of 8.5 BILLION dollars is a two billion dollar tax on Americans.

I was getting ready to post something similar about all the things we import from Canada. But then after a cup of coffee I realized 76 was posting in jest. At least I think...

They did give us Celine Dion and Justin Bieber, so they got that going for them, which is nice . . .

I wish these were the only things we imported from Canada. A tariff would be far less costly and damaging to us than it’s going to be if this goes in effect.

Canada isn't nearly as bad as Mexico. There is a tremendous amount of produce, plastic and metal components and assemblies, etc. that come from down there. Nearshoring was just as popular as onshoring.

As with anything, calls for blanket tariffs typically are littered with exclusions. It's easy to think things like Lumber and produce could be excluded.

An insane amount of apparel in Mexico. Offices in the states. Miami. Atlanta. Houston.

Wait to see what happens to coffee prices when tariffs vs. South and Central America kick in.

Good for Hawaiian Kona coffee, I guess (which is very pricey already).

Your high tax President. Trumpswabs here seem to buy the asinine argument that the tariff countries pay a huge fee to the USA. FYI, fees are paid by importers, who pass the extra costs to manufacturers, who then pass it on to YOU.
