wtf did you expect him to do?Who really knows he still signed off of it. He also praised woodson when he hired him

Rub it in why don't ya.Would have been interesting...for sure. IU probably pays, and admits a couple more of the FAU studs... Watching Danny Wolf play with Goldin, Martin, and Davis... among others... probably would have been pretty fun.

Alijah Martin
Johnnel Davis

Vlad Goldin
Maybe Malik sticks around, Leal and/or Galloway for quality depth. Another portal athletic wing.
That's a legit Natty Contender. Man, I wish I hadn't thought through that. It hadn't bothered me all that much before.
Dolson better get a good one with this hire.
I know...hadn't ever actually thought through what an IU roster might have looked like for May. Michigan does have a more strict admission and transfer policy, and their NIL resources for bball likely aren't what ours would have been. That roster is not some crazy pipe dream.Rub it in why donct ya.
Were closer than that the year beforethe fact we have never won it is proof of the depths to which we've sunk.
it's pathetic. zero for forever.
closest we ever got was when recker beat us.
Maybe Wolf wanted to go to Michigan, not play for May. Or a combo of the two. Going from Yale to Michigan...not much of a drop in education. So if Michigan had hired someone besides May, maybe he ends up at Michigan still . Or somewhere else. Just not sure May/Wolf were tied at the hip, but maybe they are.Would have been interesting...for sure. IU probably pays, and admits a couple more of the FAU studs... Let's see..I have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savant
If he did I bet he asked permission first. He is pretty cordialDid May flush your head in a toilet back in the EGHS days or something?
For sure possible. If that's true, I'm sure Wolf probably had Northwestern, Notre Dame, Stanford, Duke...all sorts of schools similar to Michigan on him. Its not a reach to assume May was instrumental. Not sure on what he's studying at Michigan? I would think IU has a pretty decent equivalent school...Maybe Wolf wanted to go to Michigan, not play for May. Or a combo of the two. Going from Yale to Michigan...not much of a drop in education. I remember asking when IU played Michigan,"who's this Wolfe kid". He was very impressive.Would have been interesting...for sure. IU probably pays, and admits a couple more of the FAU studs... Oh u mean the tournament that Iu has never won and Dusty won it in his first year at Michigan?? That one? Dumb response dudeHe didn't win the Big Ten. He won a 4-day tournament that the Big Ten held at the end of the season. He got smacked around twice by the Big Ten champion.
As one who worships every word uttered from RMK, I'm surprised you'd put so much value in a 4-day tournament to determine the CHAMPION of a conference, while ignoring the 20-game season that was played in advance of that fun little tournament.Oh u mean the tournament that Iu has never won and Dusty won it in his first year at Michigan?? Yet we value a tournament to highlight IU basketball legacy don’t we?As one who worships every word uttered from RMK, I'm surprised you'd put so much value in a 4-day tournament to determine the CHAMPION of a conference, while ignoring the 20-game season that was played in advance of that fun little tournament.
THE tournament. Not a fun little 4-day event that only includes the teams you've already spent the whole season playing against.Yet we value a tournament to highlight IU basketball legacy don’t we?
Regardless of your lush back I would say Dusty May would have been a tremendous hire and has done very well in rebuilding a Michigan program. They won 17 more games this year than Michigan won last year. That’s quite the turnaround.THE tournament. I'd probably be happy if he was our coach. I thought the way he handled the Senior Day stuff in East Lansing was pretty amateurish. Like all new coaches, I'll be interested to see if he can sustain. Juwan got off to a hot start at Michigan too. If he can quickly rebuild without Goldin and Wolf, then I'll be even more impressed.Regardless of your lush back I would say Dusty May would have been a tremendous hire and has done very well in rebuilding a Michigan program. He had a very good season overall. He had some lopsided losses at the end of the season and some other close wins where he lost big leads. So good hire, definite improvement, jury still out on long-term greatness.Regardless of your lush back I would say Dusty May would have been a tremendous hire and has done very well in rebuilding a Michigan program. No doubt Knight hated the BTT. He never won it though. As one who worships every word uttered from RMK, I'm surprised you'd put so much value in a 4-day tournament to determine the CHAMPION of a conference, while ignoring the 20-game season that was played in advance of that fun little tournament.
Didn’t he give Bigfoot an extension & raise?Wasn’t Dolson’s decision.
I guess if May had come to IU, those names were realistic. All these portal options from last spring sound really good, but unfortunately IU still would have had Woody and company coaching them. These last couple seasons convinced me, even had he gotten an absolutely uber-creative stud Point Forward like Wolf and freshmen who visited like Harper, Queen, McNeely and Fland, record may not have been appreciably better. I could see it now, Woody having Wolf down on the block playing 15 minutes a game off the bench, instead of his strong suit, creating for his teammates with the ball.Would have been interesting...for sure. IU probably pays, and admits a couple more of the FAU studs... Watching Danny Wolf play with Goldin, Martin, and Davis... among others... probably would have been pretty fun.

No extension, but a raise that also let him restructure the buyout to be a no brainer.Didn’t he give Bigfoot an extension & raise?
His best trait, which rarely gets mentioned, is he's an exceptional rebounder. Almost guaranteed 8 plus per game. His worse trait which is never mentioned, is his inconsistency. More than once he's disappeared for 2 to 3 game stretches. then there's the games where he turns it over repeatedly.. 22% is way too high.stud Point Forward like Wolf
So he did so knowing he needed to go? Sounds feckless…No extension, but a raise that also let him restructure the buyout to be a no brainer.
The talk all along has been that Dolson wanted him gone, but instead the money guys said give him what he needs and then there isn't an excuse if he doesn't get it done. If he does get it done, then we're in a good spot.So he did so knowing he needed to go? Sounds feckless…
Good reason to never hire Alford or any other former player. If he underperforms, you’ll always have people who want to give him one more year. The talk all along has been that Dolson wanted him gone, but instead the money guys said give him what he needs and then there isn't an excuse if he doesn't get it done.
