Dusty showed he can coach in the Big leagues too. He does Greene County proud.
people with a lot of money thought they could just buy a winner. like they do in the nba
Ya know, I keep hearing this. But honestly, what proof or evidence is there of Mighty Quinn being the end game decider on Woody? I ask this honestly. It seems like a convenient excuse to give Dolson a pass.Wasn’t Dolson’s decision.
I have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savantYep, we would have Dusty May right now.
Who really knows he still signed off of it. He also praised woodson when he hired himWasn’t Dolson’s decision.
I have gained respect from the product on the floor and his interviewsI have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savant
Well he just did something IU bb has never done...I have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savant
Short of needing to win it to get in the NCAA tournament, I don’t and never will give two shits about the big ten tournament. It would be nice to have better results than we’ve had, but I otherwise couldn’t care less who wins it.
Ask the Michigan people their thoughts.I have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savant

I’m probably in the minority.
Well he took FAu to the final 4, and then turned around Michigan in one year and won the BIG. Not. Bad startI have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savant
It won’t last.Well he took FAu to the final 4, and then turned around Michigan in one year and won the BIG. Not. Bad start
Certainly possible but a great start. It won’t last.
Sorry to borrow your phrase.
Signed off of not firing Woodson last year? Huh?Who really knows he still signed off of it. He also praised woodson when he hired him
Did May flush your head in a toilet back in the EGHS days or something?I have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savant
Absolutely. Dolson saw the shitstorm coming and tried to protect IU basketball with Fife and Matta.Signed off of not firing Woodson last year? Huh?
Sure he praised him when he was hired, what else do you expect him to say?
He also mentioned QB in the initial press conference.
He also hired two baby sitters for Woodson. That indicates to me that he wasn’t sold on the hire.
Maybe not…who knows but he is much better than what it looks like Iu may getIt won’t last.
Sorry to borrow your phrase.
With that being said could Fife be IU’s next coach?Absolutely. Dolson saw the shitstorm coming and tried to protect IU basketball with Fife and Matta.
You've gone too far. With that being said could Fife be IU’s next coach?
I don't know if He is a Coaching savant and would solve all our problems or not. But here is an off the cuff stat. Since the Big 10 Tournament started years ago, IU has never won a Big 10 Tournament. In one Year at Michigan May's team made it to the Tournament Championship Game and won the Tournament. For what it's worth.I have no idea why so many people think May is coaching savant
Fife is still in bloomington and available to start anytime. Just maybe he was waiting in the wings for woody to be fired. I do believe he will make a good coach. IE learned and played for two great coaches in Knight and Izzo. You've gone too far.
I never got the full story of how and why Fife left Woodson's Staff. He Coached here in Fort Wayne at what was then IPFW (now Fort Wayne). Strangely enough He was a Customer of the Barber Shop I patronize, and my Barber knows Him. When I was in last month, We were talking about the Coaching situation, and asked about Fife. My Barber said that Fife wasn't Coaching this year. I then asked Him if He knew the circumstance leading to Fife's departure from IU. He replied that He understood that Fife got into an altercation with one or more players (verbal I assume) that lead to a conflict with Woodson and his departure. Anybody know anything more specific than what I was told? With that being said could Fife be IU’s next coach?
I think Fife was pretty anti-NIL, which whatever merits that may have is just a non-starter for any coach today. And there was the rumor that he was talking politics in the locker room.I never got the full story of how and why Fife left Woodson's Staff. Angling for an assistant position.Fife has been liking tweets about various coaches today and retweeting them saying, "Ball coach."
Been doing that since FebruaryFife has been liking tweets about various coaches today and retweeting them saying, "Ball coach."
I mean, yeah. After Friday's games, it doesent do any teams any good. Having to worry about injuries and burnout/fatigue. Its all about $$$.Short of needing to win it to get in the NCAA tournament, I don’t and never will give two shits about the big ten tournament. It would be nice to have better results than we’ve had, but I otherwise couldn’t care less who wins it.

I don't follow NIL, but didn't Michigan have to buy players to field a team? It appears they just bought better players than we did.people with a lot of money thought they could just buy a winner. like they do in the nba
in college , contrary to popular belief....coaching does matter
competent coaching anyway

Of course, but highly unlikely Dusty would have similar success with our roster.I would say that they just had a better coach!
