Of course this does not match winning the bucket or the Penn State win but this reminded me of what Big Ten teams do to inferior opponents (and I actually think FIU is a pretty decent team). Play good defense and just wear the other team down. By the midway part of the 3rd quarter, our beast of an o-line wore down the d-line and it was over. From there the running game opened up the passing game and it was a landslide against FIU. That is what good big conference teams do.
In the past, IU wins shootouts but tonight the D was flying around making plays. I think Wilson is really starting to build something here. It won't be easy given the division but this team is built to compete and I can't wait to see the progression of Lagow. He has a little swag to him even though he didn't start great.
Also, I love Scales. I think he will be an absolute beast this year.
