They're Afraid of Indiana

First it was Galloway telling us we should sit Rourke to avoid injury. Now it's IU should forfeit to avoid a bad loss.

Why are they seemingly so worried about playing us?
Because they know we are out for blood to shut all the haters up! From all the bs theyve been gettn away with for the last few decades, the playing field has leveled out a bit with the portal/NiL, and stuff like that! They know we are now capable of beating them fair and square! As long as the zebras are fair, it’s gonna be a dogfight! The tides have finally turned

They have to win. We don't.

They have to win. We don't.
After losing to them these past few decades, I’d say we have to win this one!

That has to be a joke.Never seen so much being made out of a regular season game.
Don’t know about everyone else but I’m tired of all crap.
Then no matter the outcome there will be another week of this nonsense.
It’s bad enough having to deal with Ohio State fans, they had to get SEC fans involved.
Lucky us.

Because they've all run their mouths and losing to IU would destroy their identity.

The hysteria this game is causing is not unlike the woke contemplating a Trump victory.

Look. I will say this. If we get blown out by OSu what business do we have going into the playoffs a few weeks later? Whatever issues we have that leads to us getting blown out at this late point of the season won’t be fixed in a few weeks. My feelings won’t be hurt if we get blown out and get left out. We had a chance to prove we could compete with the best and didn’t show up. This season has already been a success in my view and we are beyond icing on the cake. Everything else is extra garnish and glitter.

So, this game is a benchmark that will either hush the naysayers or prove them right. We beat the spread we should get in. If we don’t I have no issue playing a regular bowl game. I absolutely want to see how we compete with osu though. Only losers forfeit to be a part of something they know they shouldn’t. We are winners. We don’t take a back seat to anyone. We belong. Jmho

Correct. We're playing with House money.

These people are getting ridiculous about IU and worrying that OSU will lose. Win this game and SEC teams will say we didn't run the gauntlet they had to run with their schedule. Of course, they ignore they only play 8 conference games while B1G plays 9 teams. The other issue is they knock teams down because IU whipped them.

Beyond historically precedent, OSU has done nothing this year to suggest that this game should be a blowout. True, IU hasn’t played any teams with that much of a pulse, but when OSU has it’s been a one score game, and IU has a pulse. OSU beat MSU by 31, IU won by 37. OSU beat NW by 24, IU won by 17. OSU beat Neb by 7, IU won by 😎.

The odds clearly favor an OSU win, but odds also suggest a competitive game.

I think oSU scored 1 FG in the 4th quarter of the Northwestern game. And they weren't playing all subs.

They have to win. We don't.
If we're being honest, OSU actually doesn't need to win this. Seriously, they have a loss, we don't, yet we're the only ones in a must win scenario. Think about it.

If IU wins, OSU will have lost to #1 and #2 ranked teams. They'd be the best 2 loss team and I can't see them putting PSU ahead of them. My guess is they'd still get a home game in the CFP. Make it make sense.

I’m looking at this game realistically. I think if we play our best we can win, even if OSU plays well, but I remind myself that this is a first year coach, coaching a team that was cobbled together less than a year ago. Frankly, IU logically shouldn’t have much of a shot to win.

If the wheels fall off tomorrow and OSU wins convincing, if not dominantly, I’ll be upset and disappointed, but I understand that it’s a near impossible task to establish a winning program in one year. Bottom line, IU fans are lucky, lucky to know that whatever happens tomorrow things can only get better with better recruiting classes and even better teams in the future.

I don't know of any rational fans that expect otherwise. Should be a heck of a game

Sounds very much like you think IU should forfeit for a 1-0 loss instead of a blowout.

I'll say it again -- we are good enough to score 10 points or more against OSU and our defense is good enough to hold OSU to about 25 points. That would not be a blowout. With the intangible breaks of any football game, we can win it.

Don't worry.

If there is any lingering unfairness, Tommy Tuberville will fix it.

You almost wonder if The big Ten Conference isn't leaking some of this type of information. Think about this. If We beat OSU, that may be enough to eliminate Them from the CFP with two losses, depending upon what may happen in other Conferences. Now the same people Who are arguing that We have a weak Schedule and are a fluke will have to argue that OSU's loss to Us was a 'good loss" against a tough team. It also sets up a problem for Ohio State next week. Depending on how much emotion and emphasis They place on this game, if They lose They may not be able to beat Michigan next week, and end up with a 3rd loss.
What The Big Ten would like to see IMO is for OSU to Beat Us and then beat Oregon in the Conference Championship game. That way, if all 4 teams take care of business next week < You end up with 4 one loss teams in the Conference. Now You have a good argument for all four to be in the final 12. That means More $$ for the Conference. If They could only get 3 teams in, They are probably hoping We are the odd man out due to the National interest and following of the other 3 Teams.

Huh? I’m trying to find the sarcasm in your post but can’t find it. I clearly said we SHOULDNT forfeit and I mean that for any reason. We will demonstrate we can play with them. My point was only that “IF” (hypothetically) we were blown out there is no reason to whine if we don’t get picked for the playoff because a blowout would indicate we aren’t ready for the playoffs yet.

At this point not only do I believe we will win I think we have the potential to be the ones to win big. I am not sleeping on this team at all. I’m only being realistic and acknowledging there is no guarantee either way and it all depends on how the flow of the game goes. I fully expect us to win this game, but I won’t be upset if we lose. Disappointed, yes.

Penn State has beaten 1 team in the Top 25 this year....Illinois who was ranked 25 at the time. Their season is on the line at Minnesota today.....and this is a game they may well lose. If they do....they are out.

Indiana beating Ohio State works just as well.

Ohio State beats Michigan and finishes with two losses and gets in because of their name and two 'good' losses, (IF they can hang tough with us and keep it reasonably close.) Oregon, Indiana, Penn State all get in with zero or one losses. Less certain is four teams if Ohio State beats Indiana. I think 60-70% chance still.

I envision that if we take an early 10-0 or 14-0 lead, Day will crap himself, panic, and take over all the offensive play calling, which will make matters worse.

Strike fast, strike first, strike hard.

If it's close, I think we take over in the 4th quarter.
