When I was little my family told me stories about John Dillinger being a heroic figure in Indiana, robbing banks at a time when banks had been closing and stiffing their investors. My grandmother was born in Mooresville and I guess her older sister was a classmate of Dillinger, and she even dated him in her teens. Chicks dig the bad boys!
