So you’ve said a couple times.
Can you be specific about what lie Trump or his campaign was attempting to tell about the contents of the laptop? If you can provide a link, even better.

I don’t really care to watch a 14 minute video to find out what you’re referring to.
FTR, I did start watching it and they referred to an email from Burisma and the notorious email about “10 held by H for the Big Guy”.
Crickets.FTR, I did start watching it and they referred to an email from Burisma and the notorious email about “10 held by H for the Big Guy”.
But those aren’t lies, they’re just emails.
So can we just cut to the chase so I can respond to the disinformation you’re referring to?
Or the Capitol. It is never cool to storm the capital.
I said yesterday that Biden is a POS for some of his pardons/commutations, including the commutation for a scumbag who killed two FBI agents 50 years ago. But these MAGA guys here simply cannot or will not call their guy/god out for anything. He does no wrong in their eyes except “mean tweets.” It’s the most fvcked up thing I’ve ever seen in American politics. It is never cool to storm the capital.

OK, I watched it. He doesn’t say anything about child porn. It says there were pictures of underage girls in the context of the “not a safe environment for kids” text that Hunter wrote. You said a link was even better. Watch it and tell me whether it was disinformation or not.
He offered the emails as proof. He said that it was full of child porn(SHAME) and they turned it over to the Delaware state police. He said 14 minutes worth of shit. Misinformation. 6 days before the election.
He whines about the iron curtain of big media not helping spread the "news". Why didn't Fox run those stories? They ran the lie about the Diebold machines that cost them $787 million, but they wouldn’t give Rudy time, why?
The laptop was used to prosecute Hunter for his firearm offense. Why not child pornography? What about the other half of the hard drive? Where are the payments to Joe? Reading emails and offering innuendo as proof is misinformation. Rudy didn't even offer a caveat.
Why do 60% of Republicans think the 2020 election was stolen? Who's winning the disinformation war? Complaining about those 51 is the equivalent to looking at the Palisades fire and complaining about your favorite celebrity's shrubs getting singed.
What about Oscar Grant? What about Brianna Taylor? What about George Floyd? It goes on and on. Are you are all up in arms about these unarmed Black Americans, who were actually trying to comply?I will say this I am surprised you don't agree with me. She was unarmed and had not attacked anyone physically. And that deserves death in your mind?
For context. Do you know the 51 were wrong?
Use common sense. Are they still claiming it’s true? Or is their lawyer saying they had a 1st amendment right to say what they did and used the “earmark” caveat?
So what do you think?
Besides, there were forensic analyses done on it - including this one commissioned by CBS News.
Thank you. I'll take it.OK, I watched it. He doesn’t say anything about child porn. It says there were pictures of underage girls in the context of the “not a safe environment for kids” text that Hunter wrote.
He didn’t explicitly say anything about the photos being sexual in nature. He did say that he reported them to police and that any police officer who didn’t report them would be guilty of a felony. And that certainly implies they’re of a sexual nature. But he curiously stops short of actually labeling them as porn or sexual.
I’ll give you a half a point. That was very slippery.
I watched every second of your link. I think the laptop was authentic. I think the 51 had every right to counter the disinformation attempt, and had good reason to sign that statement. The caveat is important.Use common sense. Are they still claiming it’s true? Or is their lawyer saying they had a 1st amendment right to say what they did and used the “earmark” caveat?

Because DJT is petty. Seriously. One other thing I’d add to this.
What was found on the drive was evidence of foreign business deals benefitting Hunter Biden and James Biden.
Both of them have been back in the news in the past few weeks. Do you recall why?
They didn’t even have access to the thing. They had no basis to say what they did.I watched every second of your link. I think the laptop was authentic. I think the 51 had every right to counter the disinformation attempt, and had good reason to sign that statement. The caveat is important.
Do you agree that the Trump campaign was trying to spread disinformation before, during, and after the 2020 election?
Lev agrees.
Only the best people.
Because DJT is petty. Seriously.
Politicians are dirt bags. They're all fcks. If the Biden's lied to Congress they should be punished. But they probably won't be.
As for the 51, keep whistling while Rome burns.
Why didn't Trump's DOJ put more effort into investigating the Floyd riots? It happened on his watch. He or Barr could have ordered an extensive investigation, charged people with federal crimes, etc. This is what really bothered people on the right. The DOJ launched their largest ever criminal probe into 1/6. Ever. That’s completely outrageous. For a protest that turned into a 2 hour riot.
Meanwhile during the summer of 2020 we watched cities burn while perpetrators walked off with a slap on the wrist from blue city prosecutors.
That disparate treatment, extreme sentencing (that psychopath Chutkan heard a lot of the cases) and over charging was a blight on the national consciousness.
I wish Trump had been a little more discerning in handing out pardons and commutations. But when the DOJ was aiming to indict 2K+ people, I can understand him for throwing his hands up and saying “**** it, let them all go” and putting an end to the nonsense once and for all.
I don’t want Bondi’s office looking into each case, one by one, to determine if people were treated fairly. When we know the vast majority weren’t.
Unlike the last administration, this DOJ should have bigger fish to fry.
There has been plenty of footage pertaining to those riots and assaults. Those rioters were smart enough not to film each other doing damage and then uploading the vids to Facebook.
So why Hunter and James? Why not….Jill? Or Ashley? If it’s just Trump’s pettiness, why aren’t they afraid he’ll come after them? They’re family, too.
To me, the 51 need to be held accountable in some way for what they did. They really shouldn’t have done it. It’s episodes like that which have sowed deep mistrust in our institutions.
One other thing I’d add to this.
What was found on the drive was evidence of foreign business deals benefitting Hunter Biden and James Biden.

Sorry for the confusion. The bolded part was my answer.Because DJT is petty. Seriously.

Our debate, in my eyes, is about the 51. I have no interest in defending the Bidens. If you want to go down the "who spreads more disinformation", the Biden or Trump campain, I could make a pretty good case.
If any other person were elected President, would that EO have been written and signed? Pence? DeSantis? Haley? Anyone?
Once again, the 51 weren't being punished because they disinformed, they were being punished because they didn't allow Trump to disinform.
You can’t say, "well, they were really deceitful, if you take out the caveat." I shouldn't have to explain why that is.
Rudy was touring Ukraine with Lev. Openly searching for dirt. Not a leap to think Rudy might have been lying. Lev testified he and Trump were lying and Russia was interfering.
All those facts give the 51 cover in my eyes. I'm sorry you disagree, but I understand why you do.
I posted a link to the complete contents, all photos, etc. of Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop ON THIS SITE.OK, I watched it. He doesn’t say anything about child porn. It says there were pictures of underage girls in the context of the “not a safe environment for kids” text that Hunter wrote.

The work is not done. The Biden/ Garland Gestapo locked up dozens of pro-life protestors. They need to be freed as well.
Agreed, but “now” is false.
They were in there for protesting the vote? Personal responsibility is now out the door.
This country has lost its way.
The reason they used the “earmarks” caveat was to be able to both say it was Russian disinformation and deny they said it. Which is what we’re witnessing now.
And my gripe here isn’t about Biden. And it’s not about comparing Biden to Trump.
My gripe is that what these intel people did was outrageous and they need to have something that counts as accountability. Revoking their clearance isn’t much, but it’s better than nothing.
And it’s entirely warranted.
I honestly stopped giving a shit about January 6th an hour after it happened.
Hoot. Think you would agree that our system of justice is designed to show leniency to first time offenders, especially for non violent crimes. It doesn’t appear the prosecuting and sentencing of 1/6’ers took this into account.Lived through 16 presidential elections with many not turning out the way I wanted.
Never gave up on our system of electing and governing when my guy didn't win.
Watched the violent break in of the Capitol on January 6th with sadness. Sadness because it appeared to me some of the most patriotic among my fellow Americans may be losing faith in our system.
The fact that most of the angry demonstrators were not previously prone to violence didn't make me feel any less sad for them, or myself.
"We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by
President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have
evidence of Russian involvement"
Could it be any clearer?
I did believe there were people who were overcharged -- or, at least over-sentenced. I understand why: it was the context of their activity, their motive. And I think a good case can be made that the motive was aggravating.Hoot. That said, Trump crapped all over the entire idea when issued a sweeping pardon for all of them. Because of course he did.
Trump just like the rest of us has emotions along with intellect.
Given this, seems to me Trump looks at all the charges filed against him as being a politically inspired stacked deck. Consistent with this, he sees those charged with crimes on January 6th as being similar victims.
In other words, Trump has empathy for those charged and found guilty for their acts on January 6th.
Okay, maybe I do need to explain it.You still don't get it.
I fully understand that they wrote the letter with caveats, plausible deniability, etc. These are intelligence pros, after all. You think it gets them off the hook. But it doesn't -- and here's why...
The purpose of the letter was to give the Biden campaign and supporters in the media the imprimatur to be able to say that "intelligence says it's a Russian op." That way, it's not just Biden denying it on his own. He would now have the cover of people who deal professionally with Russian ops to say it was a Russian op.
This was why the Biden campaign asked them to do it.
The purpose of the caveats is to be able to squirm out of it when/if necessary, like they're doing now....so that people who are predisposed to be supportive of Biden also have the cover to say "That's not what they said!"....like you're doing now.
Again, notice that the caveat magically disappeared when Biden referred to it in the debate and elsewhere. It also magically disappeared when the press referred to it -- like here:
I'm sorry. But it's no sale to me. In fact, it's not even close to a sale. What they did was inexcusable and I'm glad we can bring closure to it with something resembling accountability for the people who did it.
He considers them "patriots" and patriotism to him isn't about the country, it's about him. These are his people in his mind. They'd never harm him, remember?Trump just like the rest of us has emotions along with intellect.

As much sympathy as I have for the J6 criminals, which is something approaching zero, I wouldn't really care much if he gave clemency to the non-violent ones. Giving clemency to the violent ones who assaulted police officers isn't defensible and sends a terrible message.Well, maybe he felt guilty for riling them up to the point where they went and did what they did. And I'm sure he believes the convictions were from a stacked deck and political.
Anyway, JD Vance had the right idea: give clemency to the non-violent and leave the violent ones alone. Assaulting police officers is a terrible thing in any context. And pardoning them sends a terrible message.
I'm really sorry that he did that.
