Let me ask a simple question - how were things under Trump? Did we have a strong economy? Did we have low unemployment for all and high participation rate? Did we have worker shortages? Did we have an open border? Did we have any wars? Did people get their feelings hurt over mean tweets?

One would need to be blind not to see this.

Exactly, whatever the amoral crap people want to go on about it wasn't while holding a political office. Same can not be said about any of the others. The Kennedy's weren't examples of morality but would we welcome a 38 YO JFK on the ballot in 2024? The family made their money bootlegging, JFK likely had relations with Marilyn Monroe in office and possibly he and Bobby had something to do with her death. Did he have better taste? For sure. I couldnt care less about consenting adults doing things when they aren't in office. All these lefty's that go on about Trump's intelligence? I'd like to see their life's work. Biden has been in politics for 47-48 yrs and still hasn't accomplished anything but mooch off the Govt.

thanks for making my point, and seeing only the half you wish to see.

and pretending the other half didn't exist.

and thinking no good ever came before Trump.

and no bad with Trump.

and yes, we had wars under Trump.

and 10s of millions without healthcare.

and democracy literally under attack.

and that economy you speak of built on national debt far more than market metrics.

and a plutocracy.

and a closed border harms all on the wrong side of it, literally 1,000 times more than an open one hurts you or yours. (if at all).

but you care only about half the story.

The National Enquirer spotted JFK living in Paris, I believe, 10 or 15 years ago. As he was born in 1917, it's likely he's since passed away. Accordingly, even though he'd be eligible to run again as he served less than one term, it's unlikely we'll see him on the ballot in '24. JFK Jr., on the other hand, has been suggested as a possible Trump running mate in 2024. Those two could, once and for all, destroy the Deep State cabal.

I know I’m blind, after all those one-sentence paragraphs and missing capital letters. That long, run-on Supreme Court sentence/paragraph was a doozy.

I need a drink.

More accurately, you need a drink . . . Provided Wall Street and the money interests will permit it.

Ok, but how would you feel about a Trump/JFK Jr ticket in '24?
Do you have some sort of mental issues that you need taken care of? It is obvious you are at least a very simple person. My question was , I may need to water this down for you, IF you had the man JFK was at 38 when elected would you vote for him in 2024? I realize you need help to understand that it obviously isn't going to happen. But the point was about moralities and how you viewed a President, Camelot, all of that and how much did people care about the Kennedy's personal lives?

No, I get all that. I'm just saying there's some support for a Trump/JFK Jr. ticket (there was a public rally in Dallas last November, although neither guy appeared) and I'm wondering how you'd feel about that. Other than failing the New York state bar exam on his first two tries, and flying a Piper Saratoga one night without an instrument rating, there's never been a whiff of scandal. Decent guy, from all accounts.

I think it is becoming clear that primaries are a poor way for a political party to choose political direction. Return to the smoke-filled room and we will get better choices. One would be blind not to see that.

If you got winners' why are you so hard on the Supreme Court? which equals wanting a drastic change in the Constitution.

I agree with a lot of what you have to say. but you rarely talk about solutions. What form of governance do you advocate? What would be the first 5-6 things you would do if you were in charge?

unlike many, i've been pretty open over the yrs about changes i would make.

i may answer your question here later, but would be hijacking the thread in doing so, and the thread is about a vital problem today.

if i somehow wasn't clear on what this thread is and isn't about, unlike most threads, it isn't about what's wrong with govt, but rather about what's wrong with the electorate itself.

we can't fix govt as long as the electorate sees only what it wants to see, and is blind to all it doesn't want to see.

and when both parties, and their respective electorates, overlook and shelter all that is and all who are wrong in their own party, then there isn't, nor can be, any accountability of anyone or anything, on either side.

Unemployment is lower now. Yes we were at war in Afghanistan and Biden gif us out. The economy is in worldwide inflation due to the pandemic. Trump’s awful handling of said pandemic didn’t help matters.

Watch it the Q people think JFK is alive and well ( or maybe it’s Jr) . He’s supposed to be running as Trump’s VP. As if the Kennedy’s wouldn’t detest Trump. Saw one at the latest rally saying Michael Jackson was still alive. This is the kind of people we are dealing with.

good job.

we must all stick to pointing out just the idiocracy and malevolence perpetrated by THE OTHER SIDE.

that's the important thing.

every post in this thread has been a testament to the thread itself.

I never mentioned JFK jr. Some of you people's imaginations just run wild. It was merely a what if that was obvious to most people. He was never President so why he would be a what if he were alive today? JFK would be right of center in today's world. No, I don't believe in time travel or any of that. Was merely using JFK's ideology when he was President and how he would be viewed today.

a smoke filled room behind closed doors, is effectively how we got Hilary in 16 and Biden in 20.

the guys in the smoke filled room interceded, when they feared the electorate might or was getting it wrong.

how'd that work out in 16?

how's that workin out now?

don't kid yourself, it happened.

has before as well.

If you got winners' why are you so hard on the Supreme Court? which equals wanting a drastic change in the Constitution.

"drastic"?

hardly.

and the Constitution isn't some flawless document from God, carved into stone tablets and carried down Bunker Hill by GW with one tablet cradled in each arm as the storms raged around him, as many seem to think.

for all it got right, it was also flawed in it's original form, and has become outdated in other ways over 250 yrs as well.

and iirc, the Constitution doesn't set the number of judges on SCOTUS, and the number has been changed before..

that said, SCOTUS absolutely is way way too much power for only 9 people, (5 people), (1 person), for life, elected by no one, answerable to no one, ever, on anything, and appointed behind closed doors by one cabal or another.

would i change the number to 10 or 11, no.

more like to 101.

6 yr terms, one term only, elected popular vote, 1/6th rotated out every other yr.

no national office allowed after their term, literally no income at all allowed during or after their term, earned or gifted, to them or their spouse, other than inheritance from a direct relative, their salary while on the court, and an appropriate govt severance plus SS after.

Aren't you happy that now we have an open and free Twitter so the whole country can discuss these things? As a believer in Jesus I recognize human sin as being part of us all. None of our leaders are perfect. None do their jobs perfectly. Nor would we if we were in their position. What I look at is do our leaders at least go by the Constitution which guarantees our God given rights. Now sometimes they work on the other side of the Constitution or they work in gray areas. For instance when FDR put all the Japanese Americans in camps during WW2 their Constitutional rights were violated. They were not free as they should have been. Does this mean FDR did everything wrong? No, he brought us through WW2. Yesterday in my sermon which I preached from Acts 5 I said that we in the church are a hodge podge. What I meant by that is sometimes we follow the Lord and sometimes we don't. Sometimes we are dedicated to the cause of the Gospel and sometimes we are not. Yet He loves us still.

How many times did Obama lie? Do we throw everything good he did out the window? Read my comments above about my comments yesterday in my sermon.

Then there's infidelity. It only matters if one is in office, evidently.
Here is an example that was mentioned above. If Kennedy did have relations with Marilyn Monroe while President are we still happy he stood up to the Russians who were putting missiles in Cuba? None of our leaders are perfect. But what all of us should care about is them doing what the Constitution says and guaranteeing our God given rights.

How many times did Obama lie? Do we throw everything good he did out the window? Read my comments above about my comments yesterday in my sermon.
Perhaps I've overlooked it, but I don't recall you ever writing anything that's specifically critical of Trump (and I'm not talking about some general "we're all sinners" declaration). Yet here, in the span of five minutes, you've referenced specific instances of immorality on the part of FDR, JFK and Obama I guess Jesus is a Republican, right?

You act like fact-checking Presidential statements began with Trump. It didn't. All the stats are out there, though I need to subscribe to the washington Post web site to get the details.

From other sites reporting such stats, one analysis shows that in their first 100 days, Trump's public statements contained lies or clear falsehoods 59% of the time, Biden 50%, Obama 9%, GWB 24%, GHWB 21%, Bill Clinton 14%.

It seems 20-25% is the norm. Obama was by far the most consistently truthful president of the past 30 years. He never got my vote, though. Biden, surprisingly, is creeping up on Trump by that analysis. It doesn't speak to how serious or absurd each lie is, though. DJT was especially notable for highly impactful lying.

Yet He loves us still.

why do you hate democracy, freedom, the things Christ stood for, and the Constitution?

you are nothing but a troll.

how said.
