New data strengthens the idea that dark energy is weakening over time. The most important implication of this is that it might mean the universe, rather than expanding forever into a bleak and eternal heat death, might actually eventually start contracting until it collapses into a "big crunch."

Bitcoin fixes this too. Those physicists will have to get a real job once dirty fiat money goes away. I doubt anyone will take their conspiracy theories serious when they're door greeters at Wal-Mart

That is interesting. I have found the theories we are inside a black hole interesting. Maybe when the black hole is eating, dark energy goes up. When it is not, it goes down?

I obviously know crap about this, just love trying to think through implications.
