Thanks for the links.I checked out the one from The Hill,and I'm not sure it says what you think it says.It mentions that Steele and Winer met because in addition to Fusion,Steele (in his capacity as an EXPERT on RUSSIA) was also working for the State Dept.Since Winer was a Deputy Asst Sec of State,and Steele was working FOR the State Dept,meeting with Steele was basically part of Winer's job.Here is the relevant passage...

Winer insists there was nothing improper about his meetings with Steele, who was separately providing State with reports on geopolitical developments about Russia and Ukraine while he was also working for the FBI and Fusion GPS, who contracted him to dig into Trump’s background, partly on behalf of Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

I also noticed you missed another article that was linked on that same page-obviously an unintentional oversight on your part.Here is an interesting excerpt from the one you missed out on...

"Special counsel Robert Mueller is interested in Jared Kushner’s attempts to secure foreign financing for his real estate company during the presidential transition, CNN reported on Monday.

Mueller, who is leading the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and any possible connections between the Trump campaign and Moscow, is reportedly asking about Kushner's discussions with potential foreign investors other than Russia. Kushner is President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser.

This is the first indication that Mueller is looking beyond Kushner’s contacts with Russia as part of the investigation, according to CNN."

Sounds to me like MAGA- Mueller ain't going away...

It’s interesting to see how prosecutors work real time. Anybody watching Sgcandalous? It is interesting timing of that series since we are currently in the middle of a major investigation. One thing that comes out clear is that many times the investigations begin looking for a crime in one place and find another path to follow. Even Van Jones, an ultra liberal, said a long time ago that the Russian investigation was a nothing burger. However like the Whitewater investigation the pamphlet somewhere else. By the way, it is interesting to find out that the prosecutors had a strong case against Hillary and Whitewater but decided to go after the bigger fish, the Prez acknowledging that the case against Hillary was much more complicated.
