Ummm... because he's 6'2" and doesn't have point guard skills, and also lacks the drop dead shooting ability to be a tiny 2 guard that you could hide by pairing with a tall PG.

He was invited to the dunk contest, not as an NBA all-star. You can be in the dunk contest or 3-point contest as even a bottom of the roster or 2-way player. Remember all the 3-point shootouts won by Craig Hodges back in the day, when he only got in games when the Bulls were up by 30?

McClung's absence looks very bad on the NBA. If he was black, he'd have multiple contracts to choose from. Don't tell me he couldn't put up gaudy numbers in that showboat league; hell, he could have 5 dunks a night!!!

So all the owners and GMs are throwing away a chance to win because . . . McClung is white.

There may have been a time when owners and GMs were influenced in selecting the team roster by a large segment of the fan base being white.
