28 years. 4 years active and 24 in the reserves. I have hearing loss, and my feet hurt all the time. Vets are always telling me to sign up for the VA. If my hearing gets worse, I might go for 10% with a hearing aid. I am well compensated for my service. Tricare for life for me and my spouse along with a pension. Until I need a hearing aid, I will respect the thoughts of Allen Simpson and Bob Dole who when looking for cuts to the federal deficit stated at great political risk that if you didn't serve in a shooting war you don't deserve VA disability. Some of you left wingers may remember them. You despised them and created our current problems by being partisan.
