What happens when the Dobbs/Mississippi decision is announced?

Nationwide protests? Riots? Violence? Tempered disagreement?

I say: Do your thing if you must. Keep it civil. Don’t turn it into a replay of the “mostly peaceful” 2020 riots.

If there’s riots, the National Guard should be called in and squash the riots!

Riots which are an existential threat to democracy and require shooting at vagina hats?

Massive googling of the phrase “substantive due process”?

Immediate shortage of Ryder trucks as accidentally-pregnant men move to States where abortion stays legal?

Special legislative sessions in states where “woman” has been undefined?

Beer sales and condom sales through the roof?

when the current abortion decision drops, don't be surprised to see other decisions drop at the same time, that the Wall St/KOCH appointed SCOTUS judges and Wall St/KOCH Industries who put them on the court, want eclipsed and buried in the media by the abortion thing.

Don’t worry there will always be ways to kill the babies. May just kill a few women while at it but whatevs
I believe the operative quote you have used to flame pro-lifers is “I don’t care”. Accountability & consequences.🤷‍♂️

I won’t participate but I’m ok with some riots and what comes with it.

“. . .and what comes with it.”

Interesting choice of words. Would be enlightening to get a feel for a listing of those responses in the “what” with which you would approve.
Summer of love 2.0? But the rioters will be very different. Like gangs of wild rabid Pomeranians

Pussy Riot may be available to play some errr, “protests”.
The poms and poodles pussy riot protests. They'll do almost no property damage or looting but the shrieks will burst eardrums. There also won't be any grifting organizations like BLM popup. Totally self funded. A quiet summer for Al Sharpton

They would be dumb to drop it on a Friday. I would do it on a Monday.

Do you think that would be something that would go into the decision process that ended a couple (although maybe even a one night couple) to take the proper precautions, or are we still supposed to have the feels for people who want to use homicide as a form of birth control?

If so, then I want this right untill they are 17 for girls, 22 for boys.

Don't do much. It will not end abortions. It will shift the issue from federal to state law, where it probably belongs under the Constitution. It will not end the controversy over abortions.

Why? If a woman/man don't avail themselves of the thousand ways to prevent pregnancy they will still be able to get an abortion. Abortion party busses will be the next big thing.
And like all party busses the booze will be flowin, because who cares at that point?

Saw a stat today that 30% of women are pro-life. That number, if accurate, surprises me. But still if 70 % oppose this might be a bridge too far for team elephant. I expect the republicans to take both house and senate in November- but the cultural war crap they throw at us to keep us fighting one another rather than looking up at what the ivory tower is handing us- well elephant is on wrong side with percentage of population now on both abortion and guns. Trump and McConnell stuffed the court with Pence’s picks so there may be some push back I’m guessing

The misogyny in this thread.... keep wondering why women don’t vote Republican. And yes I know some women are not pro choice.

What's a vagina hat? I googled it and the things that came up aren't things that I suspect you're talking about 😆

flashback back to 2015 and having to explain to out of touch old white men that pussy hats are just cat ears sewed into hats not actually vaginas. That they didn't know the difference between ears and vaginas wasn't odd, after all they were republicans, the vagina hating sector of our society..

What is it Jane's Revenge? Great name for a band

House Republicans are calling for members of the radical abortion group Jane’s Revenge to be investigated as domestic terrorists.
Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), along with 28 other House Republicans, sent a letter calling the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI to “classify those committing crimes through Jane’s Revenge as domestic terrorists.”
“These violent acts violate U.S. and State law, and the group itself has claimed intent to intimidate civilians and government officials,” the letter says. “You must use the full extent of your powers under the law to fully prosecute these criminals and prevent further crime.”
The letter quotes the group’s June 14 message , which promised “increasingly drastic measures” against pro-life centers that “may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti.”
“It is clear by their threats that the members of this group have no regard for human life and may be willing to kill those in the pro-life community to further their politically motivated agenda,” the letter says.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-NC) likewise sent a letter today to House Oversight Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Chairman Rep. Jamie Raskin to request a hearing on the attacks, according to Fox News.
She writes that the DHS memo issued on June 7, which warned of a “heightened threat environment” in the coming months, did not make it clear “what the federal government is doing to prevent such attacks or respond to those that have already occurred.”
“We must examine the disturbing trend of rising left-wing violence and conduct oversight over the federal government’s response to this growing threat,” Mace wrote.
Jane’s Revenge has claimed responsibility for over 15 of the recent attacks on pro-life centers and churches, which now total more than 40, according to a report by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. Flyers calling for a “night of rage” on the day Roe is overturned have also started to appear in Washington, D.C. The Wall Street Journal reported Monday on the message making its rounds:
“DC CALL TO ACTION NIGHT OF RAGE,” the flyer says. “THE NIGHT SCOTUS OVERTURNS ROE V. WADE HIT THE STREETS YOU SAID YOU’D RIOT.”

FBI will have 0.00% interest is going after this group they will just call them an idea!! They need to be going after orange man bad voters 24/7 that the modern day FBI.

The militant abortion rights organisation Jane’s Revenge appears to be calling for an “night of rage” in the nation’s capital should the Supreme Court, as is expected, overturn Roe v. Wade later this month.
A flyer signed with the group’s name circulating in Washington, DC reads, “THE NIGHT SCOTUS OVERTURNS ROE V. WADE HIT THE STREETS YOU SAID YOU’D RIOT.”
It continues, “TO OUR OPPRESSORS: IF ABORTIONS AREN’T SAFE, YOU’RE NOT EITHER.’ JANE’S REVENGE.”

According to CNN the opinion “strips away abortion rights nationwide.”

Either they are stupid as to the Constitution or lying.

Thank you. I didn't know. Still a great name for a band. Well target will likely be safe from their riots it seems. The ironic part is that I suspect amongst all the women in the country the jane's revenge crew will be the least likely to ever need an abortion

Why is that?

Nothing will Don't do much. It will not end abortions. It will shift the issue from federal to state law, where it probably belongs under the Constitution. It will not end the controversy over abortions.
Nothing will end abortion. All it will do is make it harder, more expensive, and more dangerous for women to get one. But keep pretending it’s about saving babies. ;(h(. Not you, GOP in general)

Are you under the impression that these justices should be holding town halls with constituents or something? I don’t think you understand the judicial system.lol.
Lol I don’t understand. Of course they won’t be having town halls, they will have their cars packed ready to leave town. And hope something else comes up in the news cycle to take the pressure off of them. Probably another shooting. Not sure why they feel the need for extra security, they just made it easier to get the guns today.

Without Roe how the various states deal with the situation will be interesting. Interesting in terms of such things as personhood, criminalization, and enforcement.

Wonder how many of our Cooler lawyers would enjoy being a State Attorney General.

You didn't answer my question(s).

You claimed unidentified posts/posters in this thread about the Roe v. Wade decision were misogynistic. I asked specific questions designed to examine the reasons you would say that, especially in today's world, where your side claims there are no more males or females - that men can get pregnant and have abortions, and the government needs to ask "what is a woman." -etc.

You want Roe to stay the law. I have said on this board in the last 2 days I hope they uphold Roe.. But you again let your prejudices and stereotypes get in the way of any actual thought.

Your ideas are examined. The unexamined idea is not worth having.

Do you believe their job is to rule in favor of what is popular amongst Zeke and her buddies? I don’t understand your point. Should they wander into the protests and shake hands? Would you have asked the same of Sotomayor after Obergefell?

Are you just being an ignorant baby?
