Is the total shit show around this CMW's death knell?
I'm not amazed at the attention this has garnered from the usual sources, but it has been in the sight of national outlets. It portrays CMW as lacking any control over his highly paid mercenaries, I mean players; and has led everyone to also highlight the piss-poor performance we've had, and are having, on the court.
Ballo's levity on the bench seems to merely be consistent with the players inability to be serious on the court.
The Hysterics summed it up beautifully and I'll paraphrase, we play to the level of our opponents, but only the poor ones and never to the level of good teams.

That last sentence is too accurate.

Who knows what will happen but I have said it before...
Damn Mike, you surely have enough money, walk away now and try to salvage some of your legacy.

I think the chances of that happening are close to zero and this will get REAL ugly! Sad.
He's surrounded himself with sycophants, so I imagine he believes the fans love him, he's getting the most out of his players, and he's doing such a good job that he deserves both a raise and contract extension.

Will be interesting if Ballo is allowed to play against Rutgers... Since Woody needs the win so bad. Go Rutgers! Win by 10-15 please.

So, what exactly is the fiasco? Let's assume that he was indeed benched for going to a bar. OK, why is that a fiasco? Is it because he went to a bar? (Holy shit. I can't imagine a college kid doing that.) Is it because he sat a game as punishment? (Holy shit, he was disciplined.)

As if none of that ever happened under prior coaches.

All Woodson did is give guys a ton of money while having no control over them. This was honestly pretty predictable.

A very good point, but after a nanosecond of reflection............of course he'll play him.
You think he'll start to discipline a player now?
I didn't play for RMK like CMW, but it seems you and I understand that legacy far more than Woody.

Reality.

Some people posting on this board sound like pre-teen girls whose mama won't let them go to the Mall..

With all this Nil money- is there a contract that if the player doesn’t follow rules it will be taken away or part,of it will. If you’re at a job and don’t make your numbers, you get no bonus or lapse your job.

Not sure why he would not play against Rutger.

If he was disciplined for being in a bar at midnight. ( No information regarding whether he was drinking or just eating or just walking through.). Then one game seems right

You can’t be that gullible!

Way too many potential variables at play to make any definitive judgements on this, positive or negative. Other than it’s disappointing no matter what’s all involved. And for a team that’s obviously not playing to its potential, it’s also frustrating.

I don’t root for IU to lose , the difference is I don’t get upset when they lose these days like I did in the past .
This is a reasonable position. Unfortunately I am little further down the negative path. Losing helps us get rid of Woodson as a coach and I do not see a positive path forward until he is gone.

I agree that those of us on the outside do not have enough info to make informed or accurate conclusions. Having said that, the absence of an individual player showing that his focus is 100% on his development, the team, and the next game is very telling.
I stopped watching 6 or 7 weeks ago so I need some help with understanding. Why was Ballo disciplined when X was not?

They would be bitching no matter the circumstances. As long as they can bash IU they are happy. Total shit "fans"

Don't know the answer to that. And I doubt anyone on this board does either. Part of my point.
