When did dems refuse vaccines?
Trump tried to hide that there was a pandemic. Probably felt that it would hurt his re-election campaign given that he disbanded the White House pandemic response team in 2018 (will go down as one of the dumbest actions of any president)
When that failed, it was just something minor and then later claimed it would be gone by Easter.

When all else failed, he was more worried about the blame game. Then turned his sheep against Fauci as his chosen scapegoat. Initially he had no issue with how China handled it (seen in first comment on Jan 24)
Jan. 24, 2020 | Trump praises China’s handling of the coronavirus: “China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!” |

Dems made fun of Trump's racial based travel restrictions that were only applied to Asian countries and non-citizens. That action was completely inadequate because it had already spread past those countries and I doubt a virus cares if someone is a citizen or not. Trump also refused to issue a national stay at home mandate, leaving it up ot the states. He didn't listen to Fauci. I doubt Fauci told him to tell people to inject themselves with disinfectant or pretend like it was just the flu. I doubt Fauci said anything about it being gone by Easter or that he shouldn't take it seriously. I also doubt Fauci was pushing Hydroxychloroquine
April 7, 2020 | "You are not going to die from this pill...I really think it's a great thing to try." [Trump promoting Hydroxychloroquine, not FDA approved to treat coronavirus] |
January 18, 2021 | Washington Post reports that emergency PPP loans were provided for organizations that spread misinformation about coronavirus and vaccination. |
You think Fauci was being listened to when the administration used taxpayer money to reward companies that spread misinformation? Not likely
January 16, 2021 | U.S. death tool passes 390,000. |
Most of Trump's presidency, we were told how this was minor. Just a flu. Nothing to worry about. Gone by Easter. Trump did so great keeping deaths under 400,000 for something so minor.
