My 23 year old daughter is a server in Indy. He came in one day last summer, and she said he was the nicest guy, and she took a selfie with him and sent it to me. But sure, go ahead and judge him from how he acts in press conferences.

That's great, but totally inconsequential to him coaching IU and what this board is about.

I agree. Years ago I told people that I would rather have dinner with Mike Davis than Bob Knight. Mike seems like the more decent person. But who do I want to coach IU? It's Bob Knight if I have to choose between the two.

Idgaf what you think is inconsequential or not, tbh. My original post was about his coaching, with just a comment that I like the guy personally. And the other poster asked about why I thought he was a nice guy.

And believe me, I do know what this board is about. Exactly why I rarely come on the basketball side. Pretty much just a bunch of a$$hats.

Quinn Buckner flew from a trustee meeting near Jeffersonville, Indiana, to New Orleans to provide commentary for a Pacers game that night. IU paid for the flight on a private jet with funds from the IU Foundation.

Not sure I'd put Archie in the "nice guy" category even. He developed an edge pretty quickly and it didn't feel like his personality was all that different. I think Crean is a nice guy. Met him and he was super nice to my son and I. Arranged for a GA to take us into Cook Hall.

You’re right he’s a poor basketball coach. His speech and using two Indiana Kids to split the fanbase last March might say something about him too.
