TDH - B10 BB Power Rankings: First Look at Forecast for 2022-23

I said it was the football collective. I obviously know what Boiler Alliance is. Yoke is signing all these football teams up and they are the ONLY ones that will make any money on this. Laughable that you think that Football NIL club isn’t something to brag about.

So you use the Brees stuff as an example of Purdue being fine at NIL, yet you have no idea what it is? Don’t you think it’s probably just the Boiler Alliance exaggerating again? I mean when they announced the BA, they said it would be a game changer in the NIL space, yet it turned out to just be a copy of Hoosiers For Good.

How much did Edey get? If it’s so easy to find, why don’t you tell us? There is a reason they didn’t announce it like HFG does. They know it’s pennies compared to everyone else.

You didn’t beat the UK payment. Brian even said UK was offering more.

247 has him as a 3*.
I never said Purdue was fine in NIL. They are. They aren't ever going to compete with osu in football, but they are going in the right direction currently.

Idk what edey makes. Don't need to look it up because I truly don't care how much he gets. The important thing here is Purdue is heading in the correct decision, giving themselves a chance to be on an even playing field with their peers and getting their biggest names involved. Brees being involved with th3 collective is good, regardless of capacity/role.

But yes, the football NIL club is a pretty cool idea imo.

You say you never said Purdue was fine in NIL and immediately say exactly that. You aren't going to compete with many schools in the Big Ten when it comes to NIL. Especially if you are trying to fund both basketball and football players.

You aren't close to being on a level playing field with most of the Big Ten. We've given out over $1.5 million from our two collectives alone. Over $1 million of that has gone directly to basketball.

The football NIL Club is a terrible idea unless you are YOKE. Do the math. Purdue's goal is $5k/mo (only have $656 currently). YOKE takes 18% off the top, so that leaves $4,100 per player. They've chosen to go the socialist route where every player gets an even share. That's 75 players getting $55/mo. $660 per year. All of this is pre tax of course.

YOKE is the only entity making money in any of their deals.

The football players set that up. If it's a terrible idea, why did osu do it? Truth is, we have no idea what Purdue NIL will look like now that it is up and running. I don't. You dont.. it's a wait and see game. But yes, if Purdue expects to compete with osu in football, they will lose. But they can also generate enough money to make players think about choosing the school they want with some money vs the highest bidder. See Gilbert for details. The $656 number is like 10 days of being up. It will grow with time. Since neither of us know what the future hold financially, I'm done wasting my time discussing it. And don't say, I know because last year.... hard to compare a year with 0 resources/avenues vs a year with all the resources and avenues. Purdue is building the infrastructure that's necessary.

No, Purdue was approached by YOKE like they approached every single team in the country. Purdue wasn't close to the first team to sign with YOKE. OSU followed along, because why not? YOKE sets up everything. Ohio State has a more passionate fanbase, so maybe they will reach $20k per month and each player will get $200 a month. Either way, that's pennies compared to real NIL deals. That will have no impact on a good player choosing a school. It might help you with bad players since they get an even share of the money.

You've lost a 4* QB and 4* PG in the last month, and you are over here running your mouth about getting a 3* defensive lineman. Congrats. Purdue is falling even more behind on the NIL front.

Purdue can build all the structure they want. You have a tiny fanbase and two mouths to feed. If you want to remain competitive in either sport, you should choose basketball now.

Purdue lost a 4 star QB because LSU finally pushed. Not because of NIL. The hope was LSU would land another QB. They didn't. I'm not running my mouth about landing a 4 star composite DL, simply an example. We will see how it goes.

Lol I'm sure NIL had nothing to do with it. We will see how it goes. So far it has gone exactly how I told you it would last Summer.
