Great article. Thanks. I looked at that team photo and it reminded me that holy smokes that 79-80 team was stacked.

Three Burger Boys (Tolbert, Turner, I. Thomas) PLUS
First Team Parade All American (Grunwald) PLUS
Three players with 6-14 years in the NBA (Carter, Wittman, Woody) PLUS
One player with 4 years in the NBA (J. Thomas) PLUS
Shooting assassin Ted Kitchel

That list is 9 of the guys on the roster.
Six of the guys played at least 4 years in the NBA and if it wasn’t for his accident
Landon would have definitely been the 7th. Seven NBA guys and and we think we are deep this year..LOL
